Explanation:

It is given that,

Initial speed of sprinter, u = 0

Final speed of sprinter, v = 10 m/s

Time taken, t = 1.28 s

a. We need to find the acceleration of sprinter. It can be calculated using first equation of motion as :

a=\dfrac{v-u}{t}

a=\dfrac{10\ m/s}{1.28\ s}

a=7.81\ m/s^2

b. Final speed of the sprinter, v = 36 km/h

Time, t = 0.000355 h

Acceleration, a=\dfrac{36}{0.000355}

a=101408.45\ km/h^2

Hence, this is the required solution.

Consider two identical 4-kg pieces of roast beef. the first piece is baked as a whole, while the second is baked after being cut
Molodets [167]

Too cook the beef, the heat should penetrate to the deepest layer of the meat. Let say that the meat is cubical with 10cm width. To penetrate the core of the meat, the heat need to travel 5 cm from any side of the meat. If the meat cut into two similar pieces, the deepest core of the meat will be exposed to the heat directly.

Now the deepest core is not 5 cm anymore, it will become 2.5 cm. So the heat has to penetrate a thinner layer, thus make it cooked faster.

This position-time graph describes an object's motion. Use it to determine the
kirza4 [7]

We're happy that you're asking for the "displacement", because displacement is simply the straight-line distance between the start-point and end-point, and we don't care about any of the motions or gyrations along the way.

From the graph:

-- The location of the object at time-zero, when time begins, is  10 meters.

-- The location of the object after 6.0 seconds is  4 meters.

-- The distance between the start-point and end-point is

(final location) - (initial location)

-- So Displacement = (4 meters) - (10 meters)

<em>Displacement = -6 meters</em>
