A student submits the following work on the mass number, but he has made a few mistakes. Select the sentences that are incorrect

.
Calculating the mass number for an atom requires that we know the atomic number and the number of protons in the atom’s nucleus. The mass number then gives us the average weight of atoms of a given element. Specifically, these units are calibrated by setting the mass number for carbon-12 as 12 atomic mass units. Neutrons and protons have the same masses. However, as long as the number of protons equals the number of neutrons, the values balance out and we always obtain a whole number for the mass number.

How many grams of Ba(OH)2 will dissolve in 100g of water at 75 degree Celsius
cricket20 [7]
Solubility is a function of temperature. But for this case solubility is not given at that certain temperature and it is somewhat difficult to find for certain datas. I would be using the solubility at 20 degrees celsius which is <span>1.85g/100g </span>Water

.0185 g / g water = g barium hydroxide / 100 g

1.85 g of barium hydroxide can be dissolved in 100 g of water.

Hope this could help. Have a nice day.

The pka of hf is 3.2 determine the pkb of hf?
Julli [10]

Well, first we must remember that

pK_{a}+pK_{b}=14

This is because

K_{a}*K_{b}=10^{-14}

-log(K_{a}*K_{b})=-log(10^{-14})\\-logK_{a}+-logK_{b}=-log(10^{-14})\\pK_{a}+pK_{b}=14

So then

pK_{b}=14-pK_{a}=14-3.2=1.8
