23. Enzyme A, as the temperature increases, the rate of reaction goes down. However, Enzyme B as the temperature goes up the reaction goes up.

24. Enzyme B is more active in a human cell, the reaction is what you want and everytime the temperature goes up in enzyme B the reaction goes up.

Which of the following will stay constant, no matter if the substance is in the solid, liquid, or gas state? volume shape temper
Harman [31]

Answer : The correct option is, Mass

Explanation :

As we know that there are 3 states of matter :

Solid state : It is a state in which the particles are closely packed and does not have any space between them. This state have a definite shape and volume.

Liquid state : It is a state in which the particles are present in random and irregular pattern. The particles are closely arranged but they can move from one place to another. This state have a definite volume but does not have a fixed shape.

Gaseous state : It is a state in which the particles are loosely arranged and have a lot of space between them. This state have indefinite volume as well as shape.

If we are taking 100 grams of ice then after melting its mass remains same but its shape, volume and temperature will be changed and after evaporation its mass remains same but its shape, volume and temperature will be changed.

Hence, the mass will stay constant, no matter if the substance is in the solid, liquid, or gas state.

Which of the following statements is TRUE? (A) An ionic bond is much stronger than most covalent bonds.(B) Once dissolved in wat
Ainat [17]

Answer:

A)  An ionic bond is much stronger than most covalent bonds.

Explanation:

D) Ionic compounds have high melting points causing them to be solid at room temperature, and conduct electricity when dissolved in water. Covalent compounds have low melting points and many are liquids or gases at room temperature.

C) An ionic bond is a type of chemical bond formed through an electrostatic attraction between two oppositely charged ions. Ionic bonds are formed between a cation, which is usually a metal, and an anion, which is usually a nonmetal. A covalent bond involves a pair of electrons being shared between atoms.

A) Covalent bonds are stronger if you compare with ionic molecules, because their molecular orbital overlap is bigger. However, ionic molecules form lattices, thus the energy to break this lattice bond is stronger hence the ionic bond is stronger.

In an ion with an unknown charge, the total mass of all the electrons was determined to be 2.19 ✕ 10−26 g, while the total mass
Ilya [14]

Answer:

\large \boxed{\text{Fe$^{{2+}}$}}

Explanation:

1. Number of electrons

\text{Number of electrons} = 2.19 \times 10^{-26}\text{ g} \times \dfrac{\text{1 electron}}{9.109 \times 10^{-28}\text{ g}} = \text{24 electrons}

2. Number of protons

\text{Number of protons} = 4.34 \times 10^{-23}\text{ g} \times \dfrac{\text{1 proton}}{1.673 \times 10^{-24}\text{ g}} = \text{26 protons}

3. Identify the ion

An atom with 26 protons is iron, Fe.

A neutral atom of iron would have 26 electrons.

The ion has only 24 electrons, so it has lost two. The ion must have a charge of +2.

\text{The symbol for the ion is $\large \boxed{\textbf{Fe$^{\mathbf{2+}}$}}$}

the atomic mass of magnesium is 24 daltons and the atomic number is 12. a. how many electrons does an electrically neutral magne
vekshin1

Atomic Mass will be 23 the new magnesium formed will be its isotope of magnesium.

We know that,

In stable condition

Number of electrons = Number of protons

Atomic number represents number of proton .

So, here number of proton is 12

Therefore, number of electron is 12

We know that -

Atomic mass = number of protons +Number of neutron

So if magnesium loses one neutron i.e. new number of neutron is 11

then its atomic mass changes.

New atomic mass will be

Atomic mass = 12 + 11

Atomic mass = 23

This new element with atomic mass 23 and atomic number 12 is the isotope of magnesium.

When carbon is burned in air, it reacts with oxygen to form carbon dioxide. When 15.6 g of carbon were burned in the presence of
NeX [460]

Answer: 5.72 g mass of carbon dioxide was produced

Explanation:

C+O_2\rightarrow CO_2

Moles of C =\frac{\text{mass of carbon}}{\text{molar mass of carbon}}=\frac{15.6 g}{12 g/mol}=1.3 moles

Mass of O_2 reacted = 59.1 g - 17.5 g = 41.6 g

Moles of O_2\text{ reacted}=\frac{\text{mass of}O_2}{\text{molar mass of}O_2}=\frac{41.6 g}{32 g/mol}=1.3 moles

According to reaction 1 mole O_2 produces 1 mole of CO_2 then 1.3 mole of O_2 will produce \frac{1}{1}\times 1.3 moles of CO_2

Mass of CO_2:

=Moles of CO_2 × molar mass ofCO_2 = 1.3 ×44 g/mol =

=57.2 grams

5.72 g mass of carbon dioxide was produced
