Amazon has hired you to help design a new fleet of robots to work in their warehouse. You are trying to decide how powerful the

motor that allows the robots to climb vertically up the selves should be. assume that the robot itself will have a mass of 15 kg and needs to be able to carry an object with a mass of 5 kg up to the top of a 20 m shelf in 8 seconds. What minimum wattage should you use?

The minimum power is 490 W

Explanation:

The work that needs to be done by the robot in order to climb the shelves is equal to the gain in gravitational potential energy of the robot + object, therefore:

W=mg \Delta h

where

m = 15 kg + 5 kg = 20 kg is the total mass of the system

g=9.8 m/s^2 is the acceleration of gravity

\Delta h = 20 m is the change in height

Substituting,

W=(20)(9.8)(20)=3,920 J

Now we can calcualte the power (wattage) that the robot must have, using the equation

P=\frac{W}{t}

where

W = 3,920 J is the work done

t = 8 s is the time interval

Substituting,

P=\frac{3920}{8}=490 W

two forces whose magnitude are in ratio of 3:5 gives a resultant of 35N.if the angle of inclination is 60degree.calculate the ma
nadya68 [22]

Answer:

the magnitude of first force = 3 × 5= 15 N

ANd, the magnitude of second force = 5 × 5 = 25 N

Explanation:

The computation of the magnitude of the each force is shown below:

Provided that

Ratio of forces = 3: 5

Let us assume the common factor is x

Now

first force =  3x

And, the second force = 5x

Resultant force = 35 N

The Angle between the forces = 60 degrees

Based on the above information

Resultant force i.e. F = √ F_1^2 +F_2^2 + 2 F_1F_2cos\theta

35 = √[(3x)²+ (5x)²+ 2 (3x)(5x) cos 60°]

 35 =√ 9x² + 25x² + 15x²    (cos 60° = 0.5)

35 = √49 x²

 x = 5

So, the magnitude of first force = 3 × 5= 15 N

ANd, the magnitude of second force = 5 × 5 = 25 N

How does this diagram demonstrate the law of superposition?
Mandarinka [93]

Answer:

well, as u can tell the top layer will always be the youngest layer aka the newest layer. The farther u go down the older the layers get. So the deeper u dig the farther back in time we see.

Write a sentence on how these words are used in real life situations
ipn [44]

Answer:

Explanation:

You can approach an expression for the instantaneous velocity at any point on the path by taking the limit as the time interval gets smaller and smaller. Such a limiting process is called a derivative and the instantaneous velocity can be defined as.#3

For the special case of straight line motion in the x direction, the average velocity takes the form: If the beginning and ending velocities for this motion are known, and the acceleration is constant, the average velocity can also be expressed as For this special case, these expressions give the same result. Example for non-constant acceleration#1

Can someone with an IQ score of 120 be gifted? Based on psychological thought, explain why or why not and give an example. ILL M
Pani-rosa [81]
Hello!

Yes, someone with an IQ score of 120 can be gifted.

An IQ score of 120 means that the individual is moderately gifted. Although this IQ doesn't qualify for gifted education programs, research shows that people with IQs of about 145-180 don't perform significantly better than people with 120s IQ in terms of success.

As an example, professor Dean Simonton from the University of California found that an optimum leader should have an IQ in the 120-125 range, so having an IQ of 120 would mean that the individual is gifted for leadership.

Have a nice day!
