Answer:

time taken for one-half of the BrO⁻ ion to react is t= 27.45 secs

Explanation:

equation of reaction

3BrO⁻(aq) → BrO₃⁻(aq) + 2Br⁻(aq) (second order reaction)

given

the slope of the graph is 0.056M⁻¹s⁻¹ = k(constant)

initial concentration [A]₀ = 0.65M

for second order reaction,we can calculate the time taken for one-half of the BrO- ion to react using:

\frac{1}{[A]} =\frac{1}{[A]}₀ ⁺ k × t

where initial concentration [A]₀ = 0.65M

[A] = [A]₀÷2 = 0.325M

\frac{1}{0.325M} = \frac{1}{0.65M} + 0.056M⁻¹s⁻¹ × t

3.077= 1.54 + 0.056t

3.077-1.54=0.056t

1.537=0.056t

t= 27.45 secs

What is the cost to drive to Los Angeles from San Francisco a distance of 405 miles if the cost of gasoline is $2.90 a gallon an
choli [55]

Answer: $46.98

Explanation:

The distance to drive to Los Angeles from San Francisco is 405 miles. Since the car get 25 miles per gallon of gas, for 405 miles, the car will use:

= 405/25 = 16.2 gallons

Since the cost of gasoline is $2.90 a gallon and the car will use 16.2 gallons. The cost will be:

= $2.90 × 16.2 gallons

= $46.98

In the reaction 2k + 2h2o → 2koh + h2, which compound has an element ratio of 2 : 1? h2o h2 k koh
Semenov [28]
The compound that has the element ratio 2:1 is 2H20.
In 2H2O, four atoms of hydrogen react with two hydrogen of oxygen to form molecules of water. Four divided by two will give two, that implies ratio 2;1. This implies that, two atoms of hydrogen will react with one atom of oxygen to give a molecule of water.<span />
