Answer:

time taken for one-half of the BrO⁻ ion to react is t= 27.45 secs

Explanation:

equation of reaction

3BrO⁻(aq) → BrO₃⁻(aq) + 2Br⁻(aq) (second order reaction)

given

the slope of the graph is 0.056M⁻¹s⁻¹ = k(constant)

initial concentration [A]₀ = 0.65M

for second order reaction,we can calculate the time taken for one-half of the BrO- ion to react using:

\frac{1}{[A]} =\frac{1}{[A]}₀ ⁺ k × t

where initial concentration [A]₀ = 0.65M

[A] = [A]₀÷2 = 0.325M

\frac{1}{0.325M} = \frac{1}{0.65M} + 0.056M⁻¹s⁻¹ × t

3.077= 1.54 + 0.056t

3.077-1.54=0.056t

1.537=0.056t

t= 27.45 secs

Ainat [17]

Answer:

The answer to your question is: letter A

Explanation:

a.Strong electrical forces will make ionic compounds have high boiling points. This option is correct because ionic bonds are strong which makes substances have high boiling points.

b.Strong electrical forces will make ionic compounds have weak bonds. This option is false, ionic compounds have strong bonds.

c.A low amount of energy is needed to break the bonds in ionic compounds. The high amount of energy is needed to break ionic bonds.

d.Gravitational forces hold the bonds together in ionic compounds. Gravitational forces do not affect the ionic compounds.

Otrada [13]

Answer:

An Atom.

Explanation:

An atom is the smallest particle of a chemical element that can exist. It the fundamental piece of matter. Therefore, splitting carbon into smaller pieces , the smallest piece that would still be called "carbon" would be an Atom of carbon. However, atom is also made of three subatomic particles called electrons, protons and neutrons.

Which of the following combustion reactions is balanced correctly? A. C4H6 + 5.5O2 4CO2 + 3H2O B. C4H6 + 4O2 4CO2 + 3H2O C. C4H6
Airida [17]
You must verify that the number of atoms of each type is equal on both sides of the chemical equation: same number of C, same number of H and same number of O on both sides.

A. C4H6 + 5.5O2 ---> 4CO2 + 3H2O

element      reactant side      product side

C                4                        4
H                6                        3*2 = 6
O                5.5 * 2 = 11        4*2 + 3 = 11

Then, this equation is balanced.

Do the same with the other equations if you want to verify that they are not balanced.

What is the difference between concentrated acid and a weak one?
makkiz [27]

Answer:

Difference between concentrated acid and weak acid :---

  • According to Arrhenius's theory the substances which easily get dissociated into H+ ions when dissolved in water are acids.

  • And the substance which readily gives H+ ions on dissociation (when dissolved in water) are Strong Acid. Examples are HCl , H2SO4 etc.

While,

  • Concentration of acid is just the value of pH. pH is the measurement of concentration of acid or base. The lower the pH, higher the concentration.

  • So strong acid is strong because it gives H+ ions readily in water and Concentration is the value of pH.
