<u>Part 1) </u>

Let

x--------> the cost of each bus ride

we know that

12x=\$24

Solve for x

Divide both sides by 12

12x/12=\$24/12

x=\$2

therefore

<u>the answer part 1) is </u>

The cost of each bus ride is \$2

<u>Part 2) </u>

<u>Find the number of Elisa's withdrawals</u>

Divide the total withdrew by the withdrew at a time

so

\frac{\$140}{\$20}=7\ times

<u>Find the number of Francis's withdrawals</u>

Divide the total withdrew by the withdrew at a time

so

\frac{\$270}{\$45}=6\ times

7\ times > 6\ times

therefore

<u>the answer Part 2) is</u>

the greatest number of withdrawals were made by Elisa

Suppose you borrow 13,000 for four years at 7% toward the purchase of a car.
dangina [55]
Amount borrowed, P = 13000
Interest, i = 0.07/12 per month
number of periods (months),  n = 4*12 = 48

Monthly payment,
A=\frac{P(i*(1+i)^n)}{(1+i)^n-1}
=\frac{13000(.07/12*(1+.07/12)^{48}}{(1+.07/12)^{48}-1}
=311.30   (to the nearest cent)

How do you factor 5x^2b^2 + 14xb^2 -3b^2
Monica [59]

Answer:

5b^2(x-0.2)(x+3)

Step-by-step explanation:

The first thing that I noticed was that all of the terms had a common factor of b^2. You can therefore factor that out first:

5x^2b^2 + 14xb^2 -3b^2= \\\\b^2(5x^2+14x-3)

Now, you have a quadratic equation inside the parentheses. Factoring, you find that the roots are -0.2 and 3, meaning that you can further factor this expression to be:

5b^2(x-0.2)(x+3)

Hope this helps!
