Answer: Stress is simply the body's response to changes that create taxing demands. The previously mentioned Dr. Lazarus (building on Dr. Selye's work) suggested that there is a difference between eustress, which is a term for positive stress, and distress, which refers to negative stress.

Explanation: Examples of eustress and stress:

An example of Eustress, would be a challenging work assignment that is perceived to be neither too difficult nor too easy. Another example, would be a strength training workout. 2. Distress on the other hand, is a negative form of stress– the one that we most commonly associate with stress.
