The solution for this problem would be:
H + ions from pH = 4.0 x 10^-4 moles.
But H2SO4 gives off 2 moles of H+ ions / mole.
Moles of H2SO4 = 2.0 x 10^-4
Mass = 2 x 10^-4 moles x 98 = 1.96 x 10^-3 grams
1.96 x 10^-3 grams / 10^3 = 1.96 x 10^-6 Kg.

Pedro is heating sugar to make caramel for an investigation. As the sugar is heating, he is looking for evidence of a chemical c
ser-zykov [4K]

Answer:

The sugar atoms formed new atoms after caramelization.

Explanation:

When sugar is heated to a certain temperature, it becomes caramel. Te formation of caramel from the sugar is a chemical process.

In the context, Pedro is doing an investigation by heating sugar to make caramel. Burning of the sugar crystal is a chemical change as different chemicals are present in both. The caramel formed cannot be revered back to sugar crystal, this also proves the chemical change of caramelization of sugar cubes. Sugar consists of carbon, oxygen and hydrogen atoms. It reacts with atmospheric oxygen atoms to form new groups of atoms and forms caramel.

Which property of matter changes during a chemical change but not during a physical change
andrew-mc [135]

Answer:In a physical change, atoms are not rearranged and the matter's physical and chemical properties are unchanged. Chemical changes, on the other hand, rearrange the atoms of matter in new combinations, resulting in matter with new physical and chemical properties.

Idk how to do this at all!!!

Hello there!

I am not really sure which part you are talking about but let me answer some of them.

First, you need to read the information they gave you about glucose etc..

13- What is produced in photosynthesis?
"Photosynthesis is essential for all life on earth, because it provides food and oxygen."

Thus, the answer is: Photosynthesis produced food and oxygen.

14- What is the glucose used for?
"The glucose produced is used by the plant for energy and growth."

Thus, the answer is: The glucose used for energy and growth of the plants.

15- What is the oxygen used for?
"The oxygen produced is released into the air for us to breath."

Thus, the answer is: The oxygen used for us to breath.

I hope this helps!

Let me know if you have questions about the answer.

A scientist is comparing two cells. One cell, cell A, is from a unicellular organism, and the other cell, cell B, is from a mult
marishachu [46]
Cells are considered the basic units of life in part because they come in discrete and easily recognizable packages. That's because all cells are surrounded by a structure called the cell membrane — which, much like the walls of a house, serves as a clear boundary between the cell's internal and external environments. The cell membrane is sometimes also referred to as the plasma membrane.

Cell membranes are based on a framework of fat-based molecules called phospholipids, which physically prevent water-loving, or hydrophilic, substances from entering or escaping the cell. These membranes are also studded with proteins that serve various functions. Some of these proteins act as gatekeepers, determining what substances can and cannot cross the membrane. Others function as markers, identifying the cell as part of the same organism or as foreign. Still others work like fasteners, binding cells together so they can function as a unit. Yet other membrane proteins serve as communicators, sending and receiving signals from neighboring cells and the environment — whether friendly or alarming

Cell A is very large and has many organelles, while cell B is very small and has only a few organelles.

The density of a certain type of plastic is 0.81 g/cm3. If a sheet of this plastic is 10.0 m long, 1.0 m wide, and 1 cm thick, w
crimeas [40]

<u>Answer:</u> The mass of plastic sheet is 8.1\times 10^4g

<u>Explanation:</u>

The plastic sheet is in the form of cuboid. To calculate the volume of cuboid, we use the equation:

V=lbh

where,

V = volume of cuboid

l = length of cuboid = 10.0 m = 1000 cm     (Conversion factor: 1 m = 100 cm)

b = breadth of cuboid = 1.0 m = 100 cm

h = height of cuboid = 1 cm

Putting values in above equation, we get:

V=1000\times 100\times 1=10^5cm^3

To calculate mass of a substance, we use the equation:

\text{Density of substance}=\frac{\text{Mass of substance}}{\text{Volume of substance}}

We are given:

Density of plastic sheet = 0.81g/cm^3

Volume of plastic sheet = 10^5cm^3

Putting values in equation 1, we get:

0.81g/cm^3=\frac{\text{Mass of plastic sheet}}{10^5cm^3}\\\\\text{Mass of plastic sheet}=8.1\times 10^4g

Hence, the mass of plastic sheet is 8.1\times 10^4g
