Portion control- they would still be able to eat the foods that they like just in a smaller portion.
Gym membership- they could get a gym membership and work out a couple of times in a week, exercise is key to weight loss.
Seek a nutritionist- a nutritionist is very knowledgeable when it comes to nutrition so they would be able to help the friend out so they know what foods they can eat and what foods they should stay away from.

What force must the worker exert to get the box moving & what force must the worker exert to accelerate the box at 0.1 meter
photoshop1234 [79]

Since static friction is the minimum force required to just start the motion of a stationary object.

Here if we need to start an object from rest then we required F = 700 N

So for the first part of the above problem Force will be F = 700 N

Now if the box is already moving then we will have to use kinetic friction force between box and floor

now we can write the equation of net force as

F - F_k = m*a

here

F_k = kinetic friction = 220 N

m = mass = 500 kg

a = acceleration = 0.1 m/s^2

now we will have

F - 220 = 500* 0.1

F = 220 + 50 = 270 N

The half-life of plutonium 239 is 24,200 years. Assume that the decay rate is proportional to the amount. Determine the amount o
kotykmax [81]

Answer:

time taken is equal to 14,156 years

Explanation:

we know,

Y=Ae^{-kt}

at t = 0

Y(0) = A

given that half life of plutonium 239 = 24,200

\dfrac{A}{2}=Ae^{-kt}\\0.5=e^{-kt}\\k\times 24200 = ln(2)\\k = \dfrac{ ln(2)}{24200}

Y=Ae^{-kt}

\frac{3}{2} = e^{-kt}\\ln(1.5)=-\dfrac{ ln(2)}{24200}\times t\\t=-\dfrac{ln(1.5)\times 24200}{ ln(2)}\\t=14,156 \ years

hence time taken is equal to 14,156 years

Please solve for how many drinks drinks are 1.59 each and I got 30 dollars worth of drinks
atroni [7]

Answer:

You can drink 18 drinks and 1.38 dollars left with you.

Explanation:

1 drink cost 1.59 dollars

You have 30 dollars with you.

Number of drinks in 30 dollars = \frac{30}{1.59}

Number of drinks in 30 dollars = 18

From division 1.36 remains as remainder so, 1.38 dollars left with you.
