<u>Answer:</u>

"The momentum of objects depends upon how much volume they occupy" is FALSE.

<u>Explanation:</u>

The quantity of movement by a body is estimated as a function of its mass and velocity.The quantity of momentum an object can have it depends on two variables i.e how much mass moves and how quickly the mass moves. In simple it is dependent on mass and velocity.

There is a difference between mass and volume, as mass is the quantity of matter an object contains while volume is space occupied by mass. For an instance, the bowling ball have more momentum than a basketball, because bowling ball have much more mass and velocity than basketball, although both type of ball have approximately same volume.

A truck is carrying a steel beam of length 13.0 m on a freeway. An accident causes the beam to be dumped off the truck and slide
PIT_PIT [208]

Answer:

emf= 9.88 \times 10^{-3} T

Explanation:

Given:

  • Length of the beam, l=13\,m
  • speed of the beam, v=20\,m.s^{-1}
  • magnitude of the vertical magnetic field, B=38\times 10^{-6} T

According to the Faraday's law the emf induced in a rod passing transversely through a magnetic field is given as:

emf= l.v.B

emf=13\times 20\times 38\times 10^{-6}

emf= 9.88 \times 10^{-3} T

What causes the mechanical advantage of the inclined plane to be less than that of the lever? 30 points !!!
gayaneshka [121]
Moving an object up an inclined plane<span> requires </span>less<span>force </span>than<span> lifting it straight up, at a cost of an increase in the distance moved. The </span>mechanical advantage<span>of an </span>inclined plane<span>, the factor by which the force is reduced, is equal to the ratio of the length of the sloped surface to the height it spans.</span>
