Find the measures of the following angles.
makvit [3.9K]

Answer:

1: 36° 2: 122° 3: 122° 4: 38°

Step-by-step explanation:

First start out by getting 2 and 3. so 58+angle 3 has to sum to 180° since they are supplementary and are a straight line. So 180-58=122. Angle 2 is the same since theyre vertical. then since a triangle has 180° total, you subtract from 180 to find the final angle measurement.

To find the percent of the yellow tint in the new mixture?
Ivanshal [37]
1)We need to know the amount of yellow tint in the old mixture.

amount of yellow tint=30% of 40 liters
30%=30/100=0.3

Amount of yellow tint=0.3(40 liters)=12 liters.

2)We need to find the amount of yellow tint in the new mixture.

amount of yellow tint in the new mixture=12 liters + 9 liters=21 liters.

3) we calculate the amount of the new mixture:
amount of new mixture=40 liters + 9 liters=49 liters

4) we compute the percent of yellow tint in the new mixture:

percent of yellow tint =(amount of yellow tint / amount of mixture)*100

percent of yellow tint=(21 liters / 49 liters)100≈42.9%

Answer: The percent of yellow tint in the new mixture is 42.9%.

note: if this answer is not correct you can try it  with 42.8%

The question I need is question #13. Please provide a step by step answer. Thank You
Jet001 [13]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

We have plane 1 flying SW for 4 hours at a rate of 415 mph.  The distance he covers using the d = rt formula for distance, is 415(4) = 160 miles.

We also have plane 2 flying directly east (along the x-axis) for 4 hours at 327 mph.  The distance he covers using the d = rt formula for distance, is 327(4) = 1308 miles.  The angle in between them at this point is 135 degrees, and what we need to find is the length of the vector connecting the 2 planes.  IF this was right triangle trig that distance would be the hypotenuse and we could solve for it using Pythagorean's Theorem.  BUT it is NOT a right triangle, so we have to find some other means with which to solve for that length.  We will use the Law of Cosines to do this.

?^2=1660^2+1308^2-2(1660)(1308)cos(135) which simplifies a bit to

?^2=2755600+1712864-(-3070653.624)

If you add all of that together, you'll get

?^2=7537117.624  and you'll take the square root of that to get that the distance between the 2 planes after 4 hours is

2745 miles
