How is the nile river used today?

The nile is the heart of all the countries that it goes through. The main use for the nile today is farming. Farmers produce many crops which include cotton, wheat, sugarcane, and citrus fruits. Despite the success in agriculture, the countries where the river goes through is suprisingly poor.
