In Einstein’s analysis, a photon striking the surface of a conductor is absorbed by an electron. Which statement describes the s
puteri [66]

Answer:

the correct answer is A

Explanation:

In an Einstein-type analysis, the photon is absorbed, it loses all its energy, therefore the electron must receive all or none of the energy of the incident photon. In a type of inelastic shock.

Let's analyze the different answers

A) true. In photon it is completely absorbed or passes without interaction

B) False. The photon must change energy, but in this case there is no absorption of the photon

C) False. In the insistent analyzes, the quantization of the electron in discrete states is not mentioned.

Therefore the correct answer is A

How would the period of a simple pendulum be affected if it were located on the moon instead of the earth?
OlgaM077 [116]

Answer:

On moon time period will become 2.45 times of the time period on earth

Explanation:

Time period of simple pendulum is equal to T=2\pi \sqrt{\frac{l}{g}} ....eqn 1 here l is length of the pendulum and g is acceleration due to gravity on earth

As when we go to moon, acceleration due to gravity on moon is \frac{1}{6} times os acceleration due to gravity on earth

So time period of pendulum on moon is equal to

T_{moon}=2\pi \sqrt{\frac{l}{\frac{g}{6}}}=2\pi \sqrt{\frac{6l}{g}} --------eqn 2

Dividing eqn 2 by eqn 1

\frac{T_{moon}}{T}=\sqrt{\frac{6l}{g}\times \frac{g}{l}}

T_{moon}=\sqrt{6}T=2.45T

So on moon time period will become 2.45 times of the time period on earth

A certain lightbulb has a tungsten filament with a resistance of 26 Ω when cold and 170 Ω when hot. If the equation R = R0 [1 +
iris [78.8K]

Answer:

Explanation: The equation that relates resistance of tungsten at different temperatures is as follows

R = R₀ [1 + α ∆T]  , R₀ is resistance at lower temperature , R is resistance at higher temperature . α is temperature coefficient of resistivity and ∆T is rise in temperature .

Putting the values

170 = 26 [1 + .0045 ∆T]

∆T = 1230.75

lower temperature = 40◦C

higher temperature = 1230 + 40

= 1270◦C
