Answer:e

Explanation:

Given

Size and Shape of two objects are same but have different mass

When they are dropped suppose from a height of h m

they reach the ground at the same time

velocity with which they reach ground is same because velocity is given by

v=\sqrt{2gh}

But the momentum possessed by the heavier mass will be greater because Momentum is the Product of mass and velocity.

Velocity is same therefore mass will decide the magnitude of momentum  .

A 60 kg skier starts from rest at the top of a frictionless slope of height of 35 meters. The velocity at the bottom is v. If a
Solnce55 [7]

Answer:

Explanation:

Speed of skier without parachute

= √ 2gh

= √ 2 x 9.8 x 35

= 26.2 m / s

Speed of skier with parachute

net force downwards

mg - 200

= 60 x 9.8 -200

= 388 N

acceleration = 388 / 60

a = 6.47 m / s

v = √ 2ah

= √ 2 x 6.47 x 35

= 21.28 m / s

2 resistors of resistance 1000 ohm and 2000 ohm are joined in series with a 100V supply. A voltmeter of internal resistance 4000
Vadim26 [7]
<h2>The voltmeter reading will be 35.7 volt </h2>

Explanation:

The resistor 1000 ohm and 4000 ohm are connected in parallel .

Their combined resistance is supposed R₁

Thus \frac{1}{R_1} = \frac{1}{1000} + \frac{1}{4000}

or R₁ = 800 ohm

Therefore the total resistance in circuit is = 2000 + 800 = 2800 ohm

Because these are in series .

We can find  current flowing through the circuit  I = \frac{V}{R} = \frac{100}{2800} = \frac{1}{28}

here R is total resistance .

The potential difference across 1000 ohm = \frac{1}{28} x 1000 = 35.7 volt

Thus voltmeter reading will be 35.7 volt

The half-life of cobalt-60 is 5.26 years. If 50 g are left after 15.8 years, how many
PtichkaEL [24]

Answer:

400 g

Explanation:

The computation of the number of grams in the original sample is shown below:

Given that

half-life = 5.26 years

total time of decay = 15.8 years

final amount = 50.0 g

Now based on the above information

number of half-lives past is

=  15.8 ÷ 5.26

= 3 half-lives

Now

3 half-lives = 1 ÷ 8 remains = 50.0 g

So, the number of grams would be

= 50.0 g × 8

= 400 g

If a boulder has a weight of 675,000 N what is it’s mass
Anarel [89]

Weight = (mass) x (acceleration of gravity where the object is)

You didn't tell us WHERE the boulder is, so I have to assume that it's on Mars, where the acceleration of gravity is 3.71 m/s².

675,000 N = (mass) (3.71 m/s²)

Mass = (675,000 N) / (3.71 m/s²)

<em>Mass = 181,941 kilograms</em>

The same weight on Earth would suggest a mass of only 68,807 kg, so you can see how important it is to know where you are when you make your measurements.
