Emma, a psychologist, wants to study the relationship that exists among college girls who stay in hostels. She disguises herself
lbvjy [14]

Answer:

b. naturalistic observation

Explanation:

In research, there are many methods of collecting data for a study. One of these methods is the naturalistic observation.

Naturalistic observation consists in observing the subjects of our study in their natural environment instead of using a laboratory to collect the data. Also, there is no manipulation of variables from the researcher but just observations on the behaviors of the subjects.

In this example, Emma wants to study the relationship that exists among college girls who stay in hostels. She then disguises herself as a college student and shares a dorm with some girls for a month, she observes their behaviors and makes notes. We can see that she is observing the subjects of her study (the college girls) in their natural environment (the dorms) and she is making observations on their behaviors without doing any manipulation. Therefore this would be an example of naturalistic observation.

SashulF [63]

Answer:

Her pesticide exposure likely occurred during embryonic period of development.

Explanation:

The embryonic period is marked by organogenesis (major organs forms) and development of different parts of the embryo. This period starts 3weeks after conception and last for two months. The mass of cells formed in the germinal stage becomes a distinct human.

The following event take place during this period;

i.) Formation of the central nervous system including the brain and spinal cord,

ii.) The head followed by the eyes nose mouth and ear are formed

iii.) Formation of the cardiovascular system

iv.) Limb buds appear that will form the arms and legs.

This is the most delicate period in prenatal period of development. The embryo at this stage is fragile and easily affected by teratogenic substances like viruses, drugs, chemicals (pesticides) or radiation that can cause deformities.

_____ teams allow employees to collectively plan, organize, and control work activities with little or no direct involvement of
Mademuasel [1]

Answer:

Self-directed.

Explanation:

A self-directed work team (SDWT) is a group of people, usually employees in a company, who combine different skills and talents to work without the usual managerial supervision toward a common purpose or goal. Typically, an SDWT has somewhere between two and 25 members. An optimal SDWT is said to be between five and nine members. An SDWT is similar to a skunkworks except that an SDWT is not temporary and is not limited to a single project.

SDWT members use their company's mission statement to develop their purpose, which must be meaningful and beneficial to the company. Purposes might include problem solving, increasing sales and productivity, career training, and product improvement.

SDWT members must decide how they want to work together. Because a manager or boss does not lead, they must agree on the rules and deadlines for accomplishing their purpose. Some teams create a charter or set of rules that describe what is expected of each member. If a problem arises during the course of a project, the team members work together to provide a solution.

In order for an SDWT to succeed, the company or organization must provide a meaningful mission statement to the team, empower the team to do what it needs to do including making important decisions, support the team, establish and provide the boundaries, rules, and company policies, and train the members with the skills and knowledge needed to accomplish their purpose. But, in the end, the team is held accountable for the success or failure of a project.

Michael Jordan was arguably the best player in professional basketball history. Scientifically, one would expect him to have highly developed white fibers/fast switch fibers.

White fibers are a part of your muscles that allow them to work fast and quick. These need time to heal as they can fade fast but while in use contribute to most muscle strength. Michael Jordan was quick on his feet when he needed to be and was one of the best players.
