Energy transformations in a watefall?

Physics
1 answer:

One of the most common energy transformations is the transformation between potential energy and kinetic energy. In waterfalls such as Niagara Falls, potential energy is transformed to kinetic energy. The water at the top of the falls has gravitational potential energy. As the water plunges, its velocity increases. Thanks to google!!!! LOL :)

The initial angular velocity of a ceiling fan is 6.28 rad/s. It accelerates uniformly to 3.14 rad/s in 4.0 s. What is the angula
Talja [164]

Answer: 18.84 rad/s

Explanation:

V = u + at

V = 6.28 + (3.14 x 4 )

V = 18.84 rad/s

To understand the meaning and possible applications of the work-energy theorem.
rosijanka [135]

Answer:

   <u> a = V final 2___v initial2</u>

                      28

Explanation:

By definition for contant acceleration        <u>a =   V final ___v initial</u>

                                                                                      t

Furthermore the average speed is           <u>V abg =  v initial +v final</u>

                                                                                         2

Combine these relationships to eliminate t.               8 = Vabg t.

A researcher measures the thickness of a layer of benzene (nn = 1.50) floating on water by shining monochromatic light onto the
baherus [9]

Answer:

The minimum thickness is t= 8.75*10^{-8} m

Explanation:

generally the equation for thin film interference is mathematically represented as

            2nt = (m + \frac{1}{2} )  \lambda

Where t the  thickness

           m is any  integer

            n is the refractive index of the film

            \lambda is the wavelength of light

Since we are looking for the thickness we make t the subject of the  formula

          t = \frac{(m+ \frac{1}{2} ) \lambda}{2n}

m= 0 cause the thickness is minimum at m=0

   Substituting values

                    t = \frac{(0 +\frac{1}{2}) 8525*10^{-9} }{2 *1.5}

                       t= 8.75*10^{-8} m

The four lines observed in the visible emission spectrum of hydrogen tell us that
Gemiola [76]

Answer:

The correct answer is violet, blue, green, and red emission lines.

Explanation:

When samples of pure elements are heated they emit a continuous spectrum of electromagnetic radiation. When elements are heated at very high temperatures, the electrons get excited and they jump to consequent orbits and this results in transmission of electromagnetic radiation. The four lines visible in the emission spectrum of hydrogen are violet, blue, green, and red, the most intense of which is at 656 nanometre.
