Answer:

Explanation:

Here potential energy lost = mgh

h = L ( 1 - cos 46 ) where L is length of rope

= 2.6 x ( 1 - cos 46 )

PE lost = 20 x 9.8 x 2.6 ( 1 - cos 46 )

= 155.6 J

gain of kinetic energy = loss of PE

1/2 m v² = 155.6

.5 x 20 x v² = 155.6

v² = 15.56

v = 3.94 m /s

What current is needed in the solenoid's wires?
marta [7]
Using Ampere's Law, the magnetic field produced inside this solenoid is given by
B = uo N I / h
where uo is the vacuum permeability, N is the number of turns in the solenoid and h is the length of the solenoid. Earth's magnetic field is around 50 microteslas in North America thus the current needed in the solenoid is
I = B h / (uo N) = (50 E-6 ) (4) / ((4 pi E-7)(6000) ) = 0.026 A
I = 26 mA
So you need a current of around 26 mA.

Which best contrasts Newton's and Einstein's ideas?
Len [333]

Answer:

Newton believed that mass tells gravity how much force to exert. Einstein believed that mass tells space-time how to curve.

Explanation:

Isaac Newton believed that bodies on earth had a force of gravity pulling them down as a result of their masses.

Albert Einstein believed that the bodies were not pulled down but were moving around in a circular sphere/manner.

This confirms Newton believing that mass tells gravity how much force to exert and Einstein believing that mass tells space-time how to curve.

If a force of 450N pushes a box 4 meters in 2 seconds, how much power was developed?
strojnjashka [21]

Work = (force) x (distance) = (450 N) x (4 m) = 1,800 joules

Power = (work) / (time) = (1,800 joules) / (2 sec) = 900 watts .

Consider a 400 nm thick film of water (n-1.33) on plastic (-1.9). Visible light is incident. on the film firom air. (25 pts) Ske
Gnoma [55]

Answer:

Explanation:

For constructive interference in thin films by reflected light , the condition is

Path difference =  2μd = odd multiple of λ / 2

Where μ is refractive index of water , d is thickness of water medium and λ

is wavelength of light

λ = 4μd or 4μd / 3 or 4μd / 5

= 4 x 1.33 x 400 nm = 2128 nm

or 2128 /3 = 709.33 nm

or 2128 /5 = 425.6 nm

For destructive interference ( dim reflection )

2μd = multiple of λ = λ or 2λ or 3λ

2 x 1.33 x 400 nm =1064

or 1064 x 2 = 2128 nm

or 1064 x 3 = 3192 nm.
