Answer:

36m

Explanation:

a = 4 m/s^2

u = 0 ( it's starting from rest )

t = 3

a=v-u/t ....... 4=(v-0)/3, v = 12m/s

Using s=d/t,

12=d/3,

d= 36m

If planet A is four times as far from the sun as planet C, then the period of its orbit will be__ times as long
Burka [1]
Within the system of the same star, the period of a planet's orbit is
proportional to the 3/2 power of its distance from the central body.
(Kepler's empirical third law of planetary motion, promoted to being
etched in stone by Newton's gravitation.)

(4) ^ 3/2 = <em>8 times</em> as long.

On a cosmic calendar, in which the history of the universe is compressed into one year, how long is the average human life span?
netineya [11]

Answer:

If one were to use 5 billion years as the age of the universe and 75 years as the average human life span then

T = 75 / 5 E9 = 1.5E-8

The number of seconds in a year is 3600 * 24 * 365 = 3.2E7

If t = N * T   seconds in a year * fraction of human life span

t = 1.5E-8 * 3.2E7 = .48

A human life span is about 1/2 second compared to the life of the universe if the universe were compressed to a single year

A horse and rider are racing to the right with a speed of 21\,\dfrac{\text m}{\text s}21 s m 21, start fraction, start text, m
Marrrta [24]

Answer:

a=-4.2 m/s²

Explanation:

The horse  riding so inital velocity is given finally the rider stops so the final velocity is zero.

initial velocity =Vi= 21 m/s

final velocity =Vf= 0 m/s

distance covered = S=52 m

By using 2nd equation of motion we can find the acceleration

 2aS=Vf² -Vi²

   a=(-441)/104

   a=-4.2 m/s²

So the accceleration is 4.2 m/s².
