Answer:

Positive

Explanation:

Work is defined as the product of displacement of an object produced by the applied force and the component of force along that direction. Let us consider a situation in which the angle between the applied force and the displacement produced by it is at an angle θ. Let the magnitude of displacement be s and that of the applied force be F. Now, we have to find the component of force along the direction of the displacement. For that we have to resolve the force in to two components- one along the direction of displacement and other perpendicular to it. Since the angle between force and displacement is θ, the component of force along the direction of displacement will be Fcosθ and that perpendicular to it will be Fsinθ. Thus, b the definition of work, work done = Fcosθ x s = Fscosθ.

Now, coming to our question, the force here is gravitational force of attraction which is along downward direction. It is given in the question itself that the stone is falling down. Since the displacement and the applied force is along the same direction, angle between them, θ = 0.

Thus, work done = Fscosθ = Fscos0 = Fs (since cos0 =1)

Fs > 0

Thus, the work done is positive

Which wave, A or B, has lower energy? A, because it has a higher amplitude B, because it has a higher amplitude A, because it ha
frutty [35]

Energy of wave depends on its amplitude and it is given as

E = \frac{1}{2} kA^2

here k = constant

A = amplitude

so energy will increase or decrease depends on the amplitude of the wave

So here if we need to check which wave has lower energy then we need to compare the amplitude.

If the amplitude is less then energy must be less

So please check in the figure that which wave out of A and B has lesser amplitude to find out the wave of lesser energy

3. Pedro threw a penny into a fountain and it sank to the bottom. Which of the following would explain
____ [38]

Answer:

its B because we're not talking about mass even tho most people would have chosen A cuz it says mass and u they would think its apart of density but if ur testing to see density ur figuring out which object will sink and which one will float so da reason why da penny snuck it cuz da density is greater den da water and copper has a better chance of sinking den floating so dats why its B I hope dis helps :3

an astronaut in the satellite releases a pencil out of the satellite in space. will the pencil fall on the earth?
MAXImum [283]

No, it will not fall. The pencil will remain at zero speed relative to the spacecraft and will orbit the earth with the spacecraft.
