\frac{3}{4} ( \frac{1}{2} x-12)+ \frac{4}{5} =

=\frac{3}{4} ( \frac{x}{2} -12)+ \frac{4}{5}

= \frac{3x}{8} -9+ \frac{4}{5}

= -\frac{41}{5} + \frac{3x}{8}

The answer is: -\frac{41}{5} + \frac{3x}{8}

"A compressed gas with a total mass of 107 kg is stored in a spherical container having a radius of 0.521 m. What is the density
Aleksandr-060686 [28]

Answer:

Recall that gas will always take the shape and volume of its container.

Volume of sphere or gas = 4/3.πR³ = 4π/3  x 0.521³,  V = 0.59 m³

Density of the gas, D = mass / volume = 107kg / 0.59m³ , D = 180.60 kg/m³

The density of the compressed gas = 180.60 kg/m³

A ten-inch candle is being burned at both ends. one end burns at the rate of one inch per hour; the other end, one-and-a-half in
Bad White [126]
First keep in mind that the center is 5 inches...let L and R be the left and right positions of the two flames...

L=h and R=10-1.5h  where h is in hours....

The two flames meet when L=R so we can say:

h=10-1.5h  add 1.5h to both sides

2.5h=10  divide both sides by 2.5

h=4

So the flames will meet in five hours, using either original equation we can find this position, I'll use L=h..

L=4

So the position of the flames is 4" from the end.  The questions ask how far this point is from the center so:

5-4=1"

So the flames meet 1 inch from the center.
