Answer : Option D) Silicates.

Explanation : The minerals with the silicon-oxygen structures are classified as silicates.

As per the definition, A silicate is any member of a family which has anions consisting of silicon and oxygen, usually they have the general formula as [SiO].

It usually has a structure which has a central silicon ion which has a charge of (+4) while each oxygen has a charge of negative two (-2) and thus each silicon-oxygen bond is equal to one half (1/2) of the total bond energy of oxygen. Therefore, it confirms that the answer is Silicates.

The density of copper is 8.92 g/cm^3. If you plotted the mass of copper in grams versus the volume in cubic centimeters, what wo
dybincka [34]

The slope would be 8.92g/cm^3.

<em>D = m/V</em>

<em>m = DV </em>

The equation for a straight line is

<em>y</em> = m<em>x</em> +b, where m is the slope and b is the y-intercept. We have

<em>m</em> = D<em>V</em> + 0

Thus, a plot of <em>m</em> vs <em>V</em> will give a straight line with a slope of <em>D</em> and a

<em>y</em>-intercept at the origin.

Slope = <em>D</em> = 8.92g/cm^3

You add 168.90 grams of NaCl to a container and then you add 616.00 grams of water to that same container What is the weight per
erma4kov [3.2K]

Answer:

The weight percent of NaCl in the container is 21.5%

Explanation:

Given that,

Mass of NaCl = 168.90 gram

Mass of water = 616.00 grams

We need to calculate the weight percent of NaCl in the container

Using formula of percentage of weight

weight\ \%\ of\ component\ of\ the\ solution =\dfrac{weight\ of\ the\ component\ in\ the\ solution}{total\ weight\ of\ the\ solution}\times100

Put the value into the formula

weight\ \%\ of\ component\ of\ the\ solution =\dfrac{168.90}{168.90+616.00}\times100

weight\ \%\ of\ component\ of\ the\ solution=21.5\%

Hence, The weight percent of NaCl in the container is 21.5%

Which of these trends increase as you go from top to bottom on the Periodic Table? Select all that apply.
Oduvanchick [21]

b. atomic radius

as it goes increases when it goes down the periodic table, it decreases when going left to right. all the others decrease while going down the table.

if it helps you to remember, everything here besides atomic radius has an e in it. and if you make a connection with it to electrons, they are negative, which means they would decrease going down the table. so e=decrease while going down

thats what helped me remember it, so i hope this technique could help you too.

Which of the statements below correctly describes the chair conformations of trans-1,4-dimethylcyclohexane? A. The higher energy
Taya2010 [7]

Answer:

D. The higher energy chair conformation contains two axial methyl groups.

Explanation:

The diaxial trans-1,4-dimethylcyclohexane has the highest energy (the least stable) and the diequatorial chair conformation has the lowest energy (the most stable).

The diaxial conformation has a higher energy due to the interaction between the methyl groups.
