we are given

\frac{\frac{3}{8}}{\frac{7}{16}}

we can use formula

\frac{\frac{a}{b}}{\frac{c}{d}}=\frac{a*d}{b*c}

\frac{3*16}{8*7}}

now, we can simplify it

and we get

\frac{3*2}{1*7}}

Here's something to keep in mind: Keep, Change, flip.

Keep 3/8. Change the division sign to multiplcation. And flip 7/16 around. Like this:

3/8 x 16/7 Now it's easyer. Just multiply across.

3 x 16 = 48

8 x 7 =56

= 48/56

3/8 divided by 7/16 = 48/56

Hope this helps!!-Aparri (Keep being smart.) Thanks!

What is the product?<br><br> 2x(x – 4)
sashaice [31]

Keywords:

<em>Product, factors, polynomial, distributive property </em>

For this case we must find the product of two factors of a polynomial. To do this, we must apply the distributive property, which states: a (b + c) = ab + ac.

So:

2x (x - 4) = 2x * x-2x * 4\\2x (x - 4) = 2x ^ 2-8x

Thus, the product of 2x (x - 4) is: 2x ^ 2-8x

Answer:

The product of 2x (x - 4) is: 2x ^ 2-8x

The denominator in the earnings per share formula is? a.preferred dividends. b.net income. c.number of preferred shared outstand
astra-53 [7]

The denominator in the earnings per share formula is number of common shares outstanding.

What is the denominator used in the computation of earnings per share?

  • The weighted average of the outstanding shares of common stock serves as the numerator of the earnings per share.
  • The "per share" part necessitates further computation when the number of common shares changes in the middle of the year.
  • The weighting of the per share part depends on how long each share number has been in circulation.

How are basic earnings per share determined?

  • Basic EPS is calculated by dividing net income by the weighted average of the common shares outstanding for the relevant period.
  • Preferred dividends should be removed from the net income because they are not available to common stockholders.
  • Net income can also be broken down into "continuing operations" P&L and "total P&L".
