Physics

Option (B) is correct. The mass movement does not always lead to landslides.

Further Explanation:

The mass movement is the shifting of a huge amount of mass under the various actions of the physical factors like heat and temperature, gravitational pull etc. The mass movement occurs in the areas of light altitude due to several human factors also.

The mass movement is mostly the natural process and it occurs at such a slow rate that it is almost impossible to visualize the mass movement.

The mass movement of a huge lump of mass accumulated at a higher altitude is mostly due to the gravitational pull acting on the objects. This gravitational pull forces the mass to move from one point to other.

The mass accumulated at a particular point will always move in the downward direction under the pull of the gravity. Therefore, due to this pull, the mass movement is always down the slope.

The most frequent outcome of the mass movement is the landslide but we cannot say that the mass movement always leads to the landslides because sometimes, it is just the small movement of the mass from the high altitude and does not brig the huge amount of mass which is termed as landslide.

Thus, Option (B) is correct. The mass movement does not always lead to landslides.

Answer: B. Mass movement always leads to landslides.

Mass movement or mass wasting is a process in which rocks, stones, debris or sediments are forced downward the hill or slope with respect to the action of gravity. Mass movement does not always leads to landslides as it depends upon the density of moving material going down the slope. The heavier and denser the material, the more profound will be the affect resulting in landslide but lighter material cannot cause landslide.

A 0.5 kg block of aluminum (caluminum=900j/kg⋅∘c) is heated to 200∘c. the block is then quickly placed in an insulated tub of co
Alex_Xolod [135]

To solve this problem, we should recall the law of conservation of energy. That is, the heat lost by the aluminium must be equal to the heat gained by the cold water. This is expressed in change in enthalpies therefore:

- ΔH aluminium = ΔH water

where ΔH = m Cp (T2 – T1)

The negative sign simply means heat is lost. Therefore we calculate for the mass of water (m):

- 0.5 (900) (20 – 200) = m (4186) (20 – 0)

m = 0.9675 kg

Using same mass of water and initial temperature, the final temperature T of a 1.0 kg aluminium block is:

- 1 (900) (T – 200) = 0.9675 (4186) (T – 0)

- 900 T + 180,000 = 4050 T

4950 T = 180,000

T = 36.36°C

The final temperature of the water and block is 36.36°C

What is the equivalent resistance of a circuit that contains two 50.00
Whitepunk [10]

Answer:

A

Explanation:

Resistors in series add. There is only one path the current can take. That's why Christmas Tree lights sometimes give a lot of trouble. If a bulb burns out, it could be any one of them and time is needed to find the burned out bulb.

That being the case R = R1 + R2

R1 = 50 ohms

R2 = 50 ohms

R = 50 + 50

R = 100 ohms
