We have been given a graph which describes temperature of pizza ( in degree Celsius) as a function of time (in minutes).

We can see that time is independent variable and temperature is dependent variable as it depends on time.

Let us find when temperature of pizza will reach 0 degree Celsius. We can find the time when temperature will be 0 degrees by finding when y is zero.

We can see that initial temperature of pizza is about -6 degree Celsius. As time is increasing temperature of pizza is also getting less negative and it is approaching to zero.

At t= 0.75 minutes our function h(t) equals zero. Therefore, it will take 0.75 minutes the pizza to reach 0 degree Celsius.

Find x. Round to the nearest degree.
jeka94

The Law of Cosines features the 3 side lengths of a triangle, plus the measure of the angle opposite one of those sides.

We want angle x, which is opposite the side of length 39.

Then: a^2 = b^2 - 2ab cos C becomes 39^2 = 36^2 + 59^2 - 2(36)(59)cos x

or 1521 = 3481 + 1296 - 2(36)(59) cos x

Subtract (3481+1296) from both sides: 1521 - 4777 = -4248cos x

-3256 = -4248cos x

-3256

Then: cosx = --------------- = 0.766

-4248

Solving for x: x = arccos -0.766 = 0.698 radian, or 40 degrees (answer)

Consider this expression.
schepotkina [342]

Answer:

9m^2 + 17m- 9

Step-by-step explanation:

Given

7m^2 + (2m - 1)(m + 9)

Required:

Simplify

We start by opening the bracket

7m^2 + (2m(m + 9) - 1(m + 9))

7m^2 + 2m^2 + 18m - m - 9

Collect Like Terms

9m^2 + 17m- 9

Hence, the equivalent expression is 9m^2 + 17m- 9
