Answer:

linear speed is  15 m/s

Explanation:

The amount of angular movement is the product of the moment of inertia by the angular velocity

                L = I w

The expression for the moment of inertia is

                 I = m r²

The angular velocity is related to the linear velocity by

                 V = r w

With these three equations, we can substitute the first in the second and calculate

                 I = (75 + 10) 11²

                 I = 10285 Kg m²

                v = r (L / I)

                v = 11 (14020/10285)

               v = 15 m / s

Canada’s northern territories experience "midnight sun," meaning what?.
Leona [35]

Answer:

Explanation:   The term "midnight sun" refers to the consecutive 24-hour periods of sunlight experienced in the north of the Arctic Circle and south of the Antarctic Circle. Other phenomena are sometimes referred to as "midnight sun", but they are caused by time zones and the observance of daylight saving time.

The acceleration of a car is 0.33 m/s squared. if the applied force were cut in half, what would you predict the acceleration wo
NNADVOKAT [17]

0.17m/s²

Explanation:

According to newtons second law "the force on a body is depends on its mass and acceleration"

    Force = mass x acceleration.

The more the mass and acceleration, the more the force a body possess.

  Given that the acceleration of the body is 0.33m/s²

   Force = 0.33 x mass

If the force on the body is halved, the acceleration will also be halved;

   i.e:

        Force = F

     \frac{F}{2} = 0.33 x mass

                 F = \frac{1}{2} x 0.33 x mass

                  F =           0.17      x  mass

            Force = acceleration x  mass

 Acceleration is 0.17m/s²

What is the relationship between height and gravitational potential energy of water behind a dam?
Andrews [41]

Answer:

3. h^2

Explanation:

Energy of volume contained in a dam is given by

E=\dfrac{1}{2}A\rho gh^2

where,

A = Horizontal surface area of the barrage

\rho = Density of water

g = Acceleration due to gravity = 9.81 m/s²

h =  Vertical tidal range,

It can be seen that

E\propto h^2

Hence, the energy is proportional to h^2
