Formula mass of Na2SO4 = 2 x atomic mass of Na + atomic mass of S + 4 x atomic mass of O.

                                            =  2x22.99 + 32.065 + 4x15.999
                                            =           142.041
                                            ~             142.05 amu

Hope this helps!

Answer: 142.05 amu

Explanation:- Formula mass is the amount of a compound with the same mass in grams as the formula mass in amu.

It is the sum of atomic masses of all the atoms contained in the formula.

Mass of Na = 22.98 amu

Mass of S = 32.06 amu

Mass of O = 15.99 amu

Thus formula mass of Na_2SO_4= 2(22.98)+32.06+4(15.99)= 142.05amu

What titrant will be used to titrate the 0. 02 m hcl phenol red solution?
RideAnS [48]

The NaOH will be used What titrant  to titrate the 0. 02 m hcl phenol red solution.

Acid-base titrations may be the most typical titrations, although there are numerous more forms as well. Take a look at this illustration where sodium hydroxide is used to titrate a sample of hydrochloric acid (HCl) (NaOH). The titrant (NaOH), which is added gradually throughout the duration of the titration, has been added to the unknown solution.

Titrants are solutions with known concentrations that are added to solutions whose concentrations must be determined. The solution for whom the concentration needs to be determined is known as a titrant as well as analyte.

Therefore, the NaOH will be used as a titrant to titrate the 0. 02 m hcl phenol red solution.

A solution of rubbing alcohol is 68.6 % (v/v) isopropanol in water. How many milliliters of isopropanol are in a 88.2 mL sample
KonstantinChe [14]

From the information given, the total volume of  rubbing alcohol is 88.2 ml

68.6 % of this volume is isopropanol.

We will assume 88.2 ml represents 100% volume, so the volume of water will be 31.4 %

The volume of isopropanol is

68.6/100 x 88.2 → 0.686 × 88.2 = 60.505 ml

The volume of isopropanol is 60.5 ml.

Volume of water will be 88.20 - 60.5 = 27.7 ml

(27.7 / 88.2 × 100 = 31.4% )

Adding 60.5 ml of isopropanol to 27.7 ml of water to make up 88.2 ml will give 68.6 % v/v isopropanol to water  solution.
