The series of atomic numbers that represents the ordering of consecutive elements within the periodic table is the last option - 1, 2, 3, 4...
It refers to the number of atoms that each element has, which rises by one with each element.

Atomic number is same as the number of protons in the element which is further equal to the number of electrons. As the number of electrons increases in the element, the atomic number of the element also increases.

In periodic table, elements are arranged in the groups, and these groups are columns starting from 1 to 18, elements are arranged in increasing order of atomic number. Elements are placed with difference of one atomic number.

First four elements present in the periodic table is:

He atomic number is one (1).

H atomic number is two (2).

Li atomic number is three (3).

Be atomic number is four (4).

Thus, the series of atomic numbers that represents the ordering of consecutive elements within the periodic table is the last option - 1, 2, 3, 4...

Cole is working with radioactive particles and has set up a shield made of aluminum for protection. Which of the following will
koban [17]

Answer:

C.) Alpha, beta, and gamma particles

Explanation:

A dense shield of aluminium can protect Cole from all the listed types of radiation produced from the radioactive particles.

A radioactive protector has very unique and specie ability to contain and prevent the movement of radiations of any types from going into the body.

The strongest and most penetrating radiations are the gamma rays. Any material that can prevent the movement of these rays can halt alpha and beta particles too.

An aluminium shield is made up of multiple layers of aluminium stacked together and it provides enough resistance.

Do all substances absorb heat the same way?
miv72 [106K]

Since particles are closer together, solids conduct heat better than liquids or gases. Conduction moves heat through a material. It keeps a fire going by spreading the heat through solid material. Radiation is a method of heat transfer that does not require particles to carry the heat energy.
