Explanation:

AC≅CB, so the triangle is isosceles

So, m∠A = m∠B

m∠A = 50 and m∠A = m∠B, so m∠B = 2x = 50


The sum of all angles in a triangle is 180°

So:

180 = (5y + 10) + 50 + 50

180 = 5y + 10 + 100

180 = 5y + 110

-5y = 110 - 180

-5y = -70

5y = 70

y = 70/5

y = 14
