What did Kwang Jeon discover when researching amoeba infected by bacteria?
defon
Kwang Jeon observed that Amoeba had been attacked by a bacterial infection, and lots of the Amoeba had died. However, some survived and continued to reproduce. After investigating the remaining Amoeba and their offspring, he noticed they were very healthy. He thought maybe they were able to fight off the bacteria, but instead, he found they were still infected with the bacteria but were not dying. The bacteria were no longer making the Amoeba sick. Then, he killed off the bacteria using antibiotics and was surprised to see that the Amoeba also died. It seemed the Amoeba and bacteria had formed a relationship in which they both needed each other to survive. After researching, Jeon found that the bacteria made a protein that the Amoeba needed to survive.

What is the molar mass of the imaginary compound Z(AX3)2
astra-53 [7]

The molar mass of the imaginary compound Z(AX₃)₂ is the sum of the molar mass of Z, A and X.

How do we calculate molar mass?

Molar mass of any compound will be calculated by adding the mass of each atoms present in that compound.

Given compound is Z(AX₃)₂, molar mass of the given compound will be calculated as:

Molar mass of Z(AX₃)₂ = Molar mass of Z + molar mass of 2(A) + molar mass of 6(X)

Hence molar mass of Z(AX₃)₂ is the sum of the masses of all atoms.

1. Compare the direction of the currents in the North Pacific Ocean with those of the South Pacific Ocean. How are they alike an
katrin [286]

1. The currents in North Pacific gyre rotate more or less clockwise while those of South Pacific rotate counter-clockwise. This is mainly due to the Coriolis effect brought about by the rotation of the earth. Currents above the equator are deflected from west to east while those in the south, east to west.

2. Winds are the main driver of ocean currents because they cause frictional drag on the surface of the oceans in the direction in which the blow. These winds also cause Ekman spirals that are 90 degrees right to the wind direction in the Northern hemisphere and 90 degrees left to the winds in the southern hemisphere.
