Answer:

The density of the metal is 5200 kg/m³.

Explanation:

Given that,

Weight in air= 0.10400 N

Weight in water = 0.08400 N

We need to calculate the density of metal

Let \rho_{m} be the density of metal and \rho_{w} be the density of water is 1000kg/m³.

V is volume of solid.

The weight of metal in air is

W =0.10400\ N

mg=0.10400

\rho V g=0.10400

Vg=\dfrac{0.10400}{\rho_{m}}.....(I)

The weight of metal in water is

Using buoyancy force

F_{b}=0.10400-0.08400

F_{b}=0.02\ N

We know that,

F_{b}=\rho_{w} V g....(I)

Put the value of F_{b} in equation (I)

\rho_{w} Vg=0.02

Put the value of Vg in equation (II)

\rho_{w}\times\dfrac{0.10400}{\rho_{m}}=0.02

1000\times\dfrac{0.10400}{0.02}=\rho_{m}

\rho_{m}=5200\ kg/m^3

Hence, The density of the metal is 5200 kg/m³.

Compare the forces in a small nucleus to the forces in a large nucleus
pochemuha
The comparison of the forces in a small nucleus to the forces of a large one is the fact that they are capable of holding the protons and neutrons which made it no matter what their size may be. Therefore, as long as there is a nucleus, their forces can both hold together the two atoms tight.

A stationary boat in the ocean is experiencing waves from a storm. the waves move at 56 km/h and have a wavelength of 160 m, bot
Lera25 [3.4K]
The wavelength \lambda of the wave is 160 m, and this is the distance between two consecutive crests. The boat is located at a crest of the wave, this means that the first trough is located 80 meters from the boat (because the distance between a crest and a trough is half the wavelength).

The speed of the wave is
v=56 km/h = 15.6 m/s
so the time the boat takes to reach the first trough is
t= \frac{S}{v} = \frac{80 m}{15.6 m/s}=5.1 s

Heat is added to an open pan of water at 100.0°c, vaporizing the water. the expanding steam that results does 43.0 kj of work, a
vampirchik [111]
Heat = change in internal energy + Work done The internal energy of a system = heat added and mechanical work done by the system, i.e. U = Q + W rearranging the formula above, will give us: Q = deltaU + W
Q = U - W = 604 kJ - 43.0 kJ = 561,000 J would be the answer.
