Describe the composition of the nucleus of an atom.

Explanation:

The nucleus of an atom is made up of protons and neutrons. This was discovered in 1911 by Ernest Rutherford based on the gold foil experiment.

These baryons are further made up of sub-atomic fundamental particles known as quarks joined by the strong interaction.

Nuclei are bound together by the residual strong force (nuclear force). This force or baryon is much weaker between neutrons and protons because it is mostly neutralized within them, in the same way that electromagnetic forces between neutral atoms (such as van der Waals forces that act between two inert gas atoms) are much weaker than the electromagnetic forces that hold the parts of the atoms together internally.

Answer:

Explanation:the atom consists of a tiny nucleus at its center which is surrounded by a moving electrons. The nucleus contains a positively charged proton equal in size with the negatively charged electrons . The nucleus also may contain neutrons which have the same mass with the protons but no charge is neutral.

Which process is represented by the PV diagram?
Reika [66]

Hi!

The answer would be A. Isobaric Process

Explanation:

Isobaric process is a process where the pressure inside a system remains unchanged. In the Pressure Volume graph given, you can see that the pressure (y axis) remains constant with an increasing volume ( x axis). An example of this would be heating a container with a movable piston. Now, the degree of pressure is dependent on the frequency of collisions of particles inside a system on the walls. If this frequency changes, the pressure changes (proportionally). In our example, heating a container with a movable piston results in the particles inside the container to gain kinetic energy and move faster, meaning an increased frequency of collisions (higher pressure), but at the system time the increase in pressure results in the piston being pushed outwards, causing the volume of the container to increase. This results in decreased frequency of collision of the particles with the walls of the container (lesser pressure). This results in the a zero net effect on the pressure.

Hope this helps!

A bicycle wheel with radius 0.3 m rotates from rest to 3 rev/s in 5 s. What is the magnitude and direction of the total accelera
AlekseyPX

Answer:

Explanation:

Given

Radius of bicycle wheel r=0.3\ m

Initial angular velocity \omega _0=0

It rotates 3 revolution in 5 s therefore

\omega =2\pi 3=\6\pi =18.85\ rad/s

using \omega =\omega _0+\alpha t

where \alpha =angular\ acceleration

\omega =Final\ angular\ velocity

t=time

\alpha =\frac{18.85}{5}=3.77 rad/s^2

Total acceleration of any point will be a vector sum of tangential acceleration and centripetal acceleration

\omega at t=1

\omega =0+3.77\times 1=3.77 rad/s

a_c=\omega ^2\cdot r

a_c=(3.77)^2\cdot 0.3=4.26 m/s^2

Tangential acceleration a_t=\alpha \times r

a_t=3.77\times 0.3=1.13 m/s^2

a_{net}=\sqrt{a_t^2+a_c^2}

a_{net}=\sqrt{(1.13)^2+(4.26)^2}

a_{net}=4.41 m/s^2

One’s behavior cannot be affected by one’s subconscious
igomit [66]

That statement is false

Our subconscious tend to give a strong influence to our behaviours even if we are not feeling it directly.

For example, let's say that there is a boy that hurt by cats and it's ingrained in his head that cats possess high level of danger to him. Even after that boy grow up, his subsconcious would most likely cause a certain level of paranoia that make him either scared of cats or simply annoyed by seeing them.

What happens to a path of a light ray parallel to the principal axis, after it passes through a converging
Simora [160]

Answer: The ray that passes through the focal point on the way to the lens will refract and travel parallel to the principal axis. ... All three rays should intersect at exactly the same point.

Explanation: Once these incident rays strike the lens, refract them according to the three rules of refraction for converging lenses.

a block of wood has a length of 4 cm a width of 5 cm and a height of 10 cm what is the volume of the wood
geniusboy [140]

Volume= Length X width X height.

Plug in the values for each and solve for the volume.

V= (L)(W)(H)

V=(4cm)(5cm)(10cm).
