A: When they were distributing the 2, they didn’t distribute it to the 5. The correct answer would be 6x + 10

B: They didn’t distribute the 3 to the -3. The answer should be 6x^2 - 9

C: They didn’t distribute the -3 to the -4. The correct answer should be -9x + 12

D: The -20 should be a positive 20 because -4 x -5= 20. The correct answer should be -16x + 20

E: The 12 should be a -12 because -2 x 6= -12. The correct answer should be -8x^2 -12

F: They didn’t distribute the -9 correctly. The correct answer should be -36x^3 + 45x -54

Hope this helps!

If two events are disjoint (i.e. mutually exclusive) they cannot both occur and so we can determine probabilties by simple addition:

P(AorB)=P(A)+P(B)
P(AorB)=\frac{40}{61}+\frac{2}{61}
P(AorB)=\frac{42}{61}
P(AorB)\approx 68.8\%

A more complete answer would use a joint probability table but that's difficult to type out/format correctly here.

A rectangular room is four times as long as it is wide, and its perimeter is 70 meters. Find the width of the room.
Olegator [25]
<span>W=3/4L
P=2L=2W
70=2L+2(3/4L)
70=2L+6L/4
70=2L+1.5L
70=3.5L
L=70/3.5
L=20 FT. ANS. FOR THE LENGTH.
W=4/4*20=15 ANS. FOR THE WIDTH
