Answer : The correct option is, x = 10

Explanation : Given,

Concentration of H^+ ion = 0.001 M

pH : It is defined as the negative logarithm of hydrogen ion or hydronium ion concentration.

First we have to calculate the pH.

pH=-\log [H^+]

pH=-\log (0.001)

pH=3

Now we have to calculate we the value of 'x'.

The given expression is:

pH=2+\log x

Now put the value of pH in this expression, we get:

3=2+\log x

3-2=\log x

1=\log x

x=10

Therefore, the value of 'x' is 10.

Predict the products that will be formed by the reaction below. Al(s)+Na2SO4(s)—>
Ostrovityanka [42]

Answer:

Al₂(SO₄)₃ and Na

Explanation:

Al has a charge of +3, Na has a charge of +1 and SO₄ has a charge of -2. Since cations and anions will bond we know that Al will bond with SO₄ leaving Na by itself (since this is a single replacement reaction). When Al bonds with SO₄ it makes aluminum sulfate which is Al₂(SO₄)₃ and Na will be left by itself.
