Mass of any substance will be calculated from moles by using the below equation as:

n = W/M, where

W = required mass

M = molar mass

Neutralization reaction will be:

NaOH + HCl → NaCl + H₂O

From the stoichiometry it is clear that 1 mole of NaOH is required to neutralize 1 mole of HCl, so that 8.90 moles of NaOH is needed.

Mass of 8.9 moles of NaOH = (8.9mol)(40g/mol) = 356g

Hence required mass of NaOH is 356 grams.
