Gravity accelerates you at 9.8 meters per second per second. After one second, you're falling 9.8 m/s. After two seconds, you're falling 19.6 m/s, and so on.

A small block has constant acceleration as it slides down a frictionless incline. The block is released from rest at the top of
Natasha2012 [34]

Answer:

   h ’= 0.51356 m

Explanation:

For this exercise we can use conservation of energy

starting point. Highest point of the trajectory

         Em₀ = m g h

         sin θ = h / L

         h = L sin θ

         Em₀ = m g L sin  θ

final point. Lowest point of the trajectory

         Em_f = K = ½ mv²

as there is no friction, energy is conserved

        Em₀ = Emf

        m g L sin  θ  = ½ m v²

        sin  θ  = ½ v² / gL

        sin  θ  = ½ 3.80² / (9.8  6.60)

        sin  θ  = 0.111626

         tea = 6.41

They ask us for the speed for L ’= 4.60 m

let's find the height

         sin 6.41 = h '/ L'

h ’= L’ sin 6.41

         h ’= 4.60 sin 6.41

         h ’= 0.51356 m

we use conservation of energy

          m g h ’= ½ m v’2

          v ’= √ (2gh’)

          v ’= √ (2 9.8 0.51356)

          v ’= 3.173 m /s²

Classify each possible hypothesis about a medicinal aloe vera plant as falsifiable or non-falsifiable.
pychu [463]

Answer:

Aloe vera is a succulent plant species ( with fleshy water storing tissue) belonging to the genus Aloe.

It is used in many products ( including beverages, cosmetic products as gel, medicinal ointments). Its juice is quite bitter in taste. It is known to be the best skin moisturizer and can be used for healing wounds by enhancing the renewal of damaged cells. It is also used as an anticarcinogen, thus reduces the chances of cancer.

Thus, the given hypothesis can be classified as  falsifiable ( which is proven wrong) or non-falsifiable ( which is proven right) in the following way-

Falsifiable-

Aloe vera juice tastes  better than carrot juice.

Non Falsifiable-

Aloe vera gel is the best  natural skin moisturizer.

Aloe vera gel can heal  wounds by boosting  cell renewal.

Drinking aloe juice can  reduce the risk of lung  cancer.

Which statement is not true about light? 1 point It is a particle and a wave It has mechanical and transverse waves It has mecha
belka [17]

Answer:

Option C

Explanation:

Light is an electromagnetic wave as it has characteristics of both electrical and magnetic waves. It is not a mechanical wave. Water and sound wave are mechanical wave as they need some medium to travel while light do not need any medium to travel.

Hence, option C is correct

A 46-ton monolith is transported on a causeway that is 3500 feet long and has a slope of about 3.7. How much force parallel to
ludmilkaskok [199]

Answer:

2.9tons

Explanation:

Note that On an incline of angle a from horizontal, the parallel and perpendicular components of a downward force F are:

parallel ("tangential"): F_t = F sin a

perpendicular ("normal"): F_n = F cos a

At a=3.7 degrees, sin a is about 0.064 and with F = 46tons:

F sin a ~~ (46 tons)*0.064 ~~ 2.9tons
