A helicopter, starting from rest, accelerates straight up from the roof of a hospital. The lifting force does work in raising th

e helicopter. An 700-kg helicopter rises from rest to a speed of 11.0 m/s in a time of 3.0 s. During this time it climbs to a height of 9.6 m. What is the average power generated by the lifting force?

Answer:

P = 36068.7 Watt

Explanation:

As we know that average power is the ratio of total work done and total time interval

so we will have

Power = \frac{Total \: Work}{time}

now we know that

Work = \frac{1}{2}mv^2 + mgh

W = \frac{1}{2}(700)(11^2) + 700(9.8)(9.6)

so we will have

W = 42350 J + 68856 J

W = 108206 J

now power is given as

P = \frac{108206}{3}

P = 36068.7 Watt

Accomplished silver workers in india can pound silver into incredibly thin sheets, as thin as 3.00 10-7 m (about one-hundredth o
postnew [5]
The density of silver is ρ = 10500 kg/m³ approximately.

Given:
m = 1.70 kg, the mass of silver
t = 3.0 x 10⁻⁷ m, the thickness of the sheet

Let A be the area.
Then, by definition,
m = (t*A)*ρ

Therefore
A = m/(t*ρ)
    = (1.7 kg)/ [(3.0 x 10⁻⁷ m)*(10500 kg/m³)]
    = 539.7 m²

Answer: 539.7 m²
