How would a balloon left in a car on a hot day change and why?

When it is filled with Helium it will expand and become more dense in the hot car. But when it becomes dense the gas molecules fly around in different directions, they collide with other objects and create pressure which can cause the balloon to pop.

list the four quantum numbers from LAST electron of each of the following elements in their ground state: sodium, nitrogen, oxyg
Rasek [7]

Explanation:

The four quantum numbers gives the position of the orbital, its spatial orientation, the shape of the orbital and the spin of the an electron in the orbital.

The principal quantum number(n) gives the main energy level in which the orbital is located; n = 1,2,3,4....

Azimuthal or secondary quantum number (l) gives the shape of the orbitals an they take values l = 0,1,2,3.... and their names are s for 0, p for 1, d for 2 and f for 3.

Magnetic quantum number gives the spatial orientation or degeneracy of the orbitals in the subshell.

Spin quantum number gives the spinning of the electrons

Electronic configuration:

Na = 1s² 2s² 2p⁶ 3s¹

   The last electron enters the 3s¹

           n = 3

            l = 0

           m = 0

            spin =+ or - \frac{1}{2}

N = 1s² 2s²  2p³

           last electron enters 2p³

              n = 2

              l = 1

               m = -1, 0, 1

               spin = + or - \frac{1}{2}

O = 1s² 2s² 2p²

               spin = + or - \frac{1}{2}

Cl =1s² 2s² 2p⁶ 3s² 3p⁵

     last electron enters 3p⁵

               n = 3

              l = 1

               m = -1, 0, 1

               spin = + or - \frac{1}{2}

S = 1s² 2s² 2p⁶ 3s² 3p⁴

Compare the shape of a chemical signalling molecule and a receptor.
Andru [333]

Cell signalling is a process by which cells communicate with each other and transfer messages.

What is a receptor?

A molecule inside or on the surface of a cell binds to a specific substance and causes a specific effect in the cell.

Cell signalling is a process by which cells communicate with each other and transfer messages. When a signal molecule binds to a receptor protein, changes occur in the receptor proteins. Two changes are listed below:

1. The receptor protein undergoes conformational changes and acts as an enzyme.

2. The receptor protein that makes a second messenger molecule that leads the reaction further to other cells or molecules.

A 3.664 g sample of a monoprotic acid was dissolved in water. It took 20.27 mL of a 0.1578 M NaOH solution to neutralize the aci
chubhunter [2.5K]

Answer:

Molar mass of monoprotic acid is 1145g/mol.

Explanation:

The reaction of a monoprotic acid (HX) with NaOH is:

HX + NaOH → H₂O + NaX

That means 1 mole of acid reacts with 1 mole of NaOH

If the neutralization of the acid spent 20.27mL of a 0.1578 M NaOH solution. Moles of NaOH are:

0.02027L × (0.1578mol / L) = 3.199x10⁻³ moles NaOH ≡ moles HX.

As mass of the sample is 3.664g, molar mass of the acid is:

3.664g / 3.199x10⁻³ moles = 1145g/mol

Crystallization from cooling magma describes one way that _____.
puteri [66]
I think the correct answer would be minerals form. Crystallization is the process of forming crystals from solutions and is one way that minerals are formed in the nature. It is a solid-liquid type of separation. Hope this answers the question. Have a nice day.
