Chlorine 35 and chlorine 37 are two different types of chlorine atoms. They're called isotopes. The reason why one is 35 and 37 has to do with the subatomic particle called the neutron. Chlorine is atomic number 17 so both chlorine 35 and chlorine 37 has 17 protons and 17 electrons. But the chlorine 35 has 18 neutrons and the chlorine 37 has 20 neutrons, so the chlorine 37 is slightly heavier than the chlorine 35.

The difference between chlorine-35 and chlorine-37 is that chlorine-35 has 18 neurons, while chlorine-37 has 19 neurons.

How many grams of diphosphorus pentoxide result if 100.0 g of phosphorus are combined with sufficient oxygen?
gregori [183]
Answer is: 230 g.
Chemical reaction: P₄ + 5O₂ → 2P₂O₅.
m(P₄) = 100 g.
M(P₄) = 4 · 31 g/mol = 124 g/mol.
n(P₄) = m(P₄) ÷ M(P₄) = 100g ÷ 124g/mol = 0,806 mol.
From reaction: n(P₄) : n(P₂O5) = 1 : 2.
n(P₂O₅) = 1,612 mol.
m(P₂O₅) = 1,612 mol · 142g/mol = 230g.
M - molar mass.
n - amount of substance.

A sample of gas occupies a volume of 73.7 mL. As it expands, it does 133.7 J of work on its surroundings at a constant pressure
katen-ka-za [31]
In thermodynamics, work performed by a system is the energy transferred by the system to its surroundings. It can be calculated by the expression:

W = PdV

Integrating,

We will have,

W = P(V2 - V1)
133.7 (1 litre-atm / 101.325 Joule) ( 760 Torr / atm ) = 783 (V2 - .0737 )
V2 = 1.35 L

Hope this answers the question. Have a nice day.
