Let x = length of segment EF.

Assume that
(a) line segments AD,  EF, and BC are parallel, and
(b) the vertical distance between AD and EF is equal to the vertical distance between EF and BC.

Then from similarity between geometric shapes, we can write
\frac{2.2}{x} = \frac{x}{4.8}
x^{2} =(2.2)(4.8)=10.56
x=3.2   (nearest tenth)

In the diagram provided, line I is parallel to line m. Select which of the following statements could be used to prove that
atroni [7]
<h3>Answer: There is only one answer and it is choice B</h3><h3>Angle 1 and angle 4 are alternate interior angles</h3>

========================================================

Explanation

  • A. This is false because it should be angle 4 + angle 5 = 180 without the angle 6. Adding on angle 6 results in some angle larger than 180. Note how angle 5 = (angle 3)+(angle 6).
  • B. This is true and useful to showing that the three angles of a triangle add to 180 degrees. This is because you'll use the fact that angles 4, 5 and 6 combine to 180 degrees.
  • C. While this is a true statement by the exterior angle theorem, it is not useful to the proof. It is better to state that angle 2 and angle 6 are congruent because they are alternate interior angles.
  • D. Like choice C, it is true but not useful. It's better to say that angle 1 is congruent to angle 4. See choice B above.

Note how it's not enough for a statement to be true. It also needs to be relevant or useful to the context at hand. A more simpler example of this could be stating that x+x = 2x.

Skylar's grades on four math tests are 85, 78, 77, and 69. What does Skylar need to score on the next test in order to have a me
olga_2 [115]
She needs to score a 91 on her next test because 85+78+77+69+91=400 and 400 divided by 5 gives you a mean of 80.

Which of the following is the same as 8.4x 10^2<br> A.8,400<br> B.840<br> C.84<br> D. .84
zysi [14]

Answer: Your answer is B.840

Step-by-step explanation:

What you do first is the exponents 10^2 is 100

8.4 x 100 is 840 because when you multiply you move the decimal points the amount of zero's you have to the right but when you divide you do the opposite. You go left the amount of zeros there are.

Answer this pleaseee !!
photoshop1234 [79]

Answer:

D.

Step-by-step explanation:

m<F = m<B - Corresponding Angles Theorem

m<B + m<A = 180 - Adjacent Angles Theorem

180 - 105 = m<A

75 = m<A; therefore, m<A = 75.
