Answer:

-21

Step-by-step explanation:

f(x)=6x^2-22x+12 \\\\\\g(x)=x-3 \\\\\\(f/g)(x)=\dfrac{6x^2-22x+12}{x-3}=\dfrac{(x-3)(6x-4)}{x-3}=6x-4 \\\\\\(f/g)(-3)=6(-3)-3=-18-3=-21

Hope this helps!

Describe the transformation f(x) = 2x + 1 -> g(x) = -8(x + 4) - 1
katrin2010 [14]

f(x) = 2x + 1; Paren graph = x;

The graph was shifted one unit up and stretched 2 times.

g(x) = -8(x+4) - 1 = -8x - 32 - 1 = -8x - 33

The graph was shifted 33 units down and stretched 8 times and flipped 180 degrees.

Find the angel x in d diagram above with a well structured solution.<br><br>Thanks
Tom [10]

Step-by-step answer:

Please refer to attached image.

1. Quad PQRS is cyclic (all vertices on the same circle), so opposite angles are supplementary, meaning

  that

  angles QPS and QRS are supplementary =>

  QPS+QRS=180   =>

  QRS = 180 - 74 = 106

2. Triangle RSQ is isosceles with RS=RQ =>

   angles RSQ and RQS are congruent.

3. Angle RSQ = (180 - 106) /2 = 74 / 2  = 37

4. QP is a diameter => angle QSP is a right-angle.

5. From (3) and (4) above,

  angle RSP = 37+90 = 127

6. Since PQRS is cyclic, angles RQP  and RSP are supplementary =>

   RQP+RSP = 180   =>

   x + 127 = 180   =>

   x = 180 - 127 = 53 degrees.

Someone please help me with this. thanks. and please explain.
just olya [345]
It would be 190 km because you do 5 x 3 to get 15 add a 0 at the end of it. Than at 40 because .8 of 150 is 40. Then 150+40= 190

What is the value of a in the equation 3a + b = 54, when b = 9?
nasty-shy [4]
In order to do this you have to substitute b with 9 and get 3a+9=54, now subtract 9 from both sides to leave a by itself and get 3a=45, now divide 3 in both sides to leave a by itself and get a=15

Hope this helps
