A. Continental plate uplift
B. A normal fault
C. A transform fault <-----
D. Folding of rock
I chose C as my answer because as a clay model you have to transfer it into something and if you dont its gonna make it just a hard plain blob.

Answer:

The correct option is;

D. Folding of Rock

Explanation:

A fold in structural geology, is wave like form of stratified rock arrangement due to the bending of rocks which where originally deposited as flat rocks but became warped in the course of deformation of the rock layers.

The degree of bending can be very gentle such that the zig zag orientation of the rock is hardly noticeable. The bending can also very evident and in some cases the two layers may be bent up to 180, making the individually different strata once again parallel to each other.

What force is necessary to keep a mass of 0.8 kg revolving in a horizontal circle of radius 0.7 m with a period of 0.5 s? What i
inn [45]

Answer:

88.34 N directed towards the center of the circle

Explanation:

Applying,

F = mv²/r................... Equation 1

F = Force needed to keep the mass in a circle, m = mass of the mass, v = velocity of the mass, r = radius of the circle.

But,

v = 2πr/t................... Equation 2

Where t = time, π = pie

Substitute equation 2 into equation 1

F = m(2πr/t)²/r

F = 4π²r²m/t²r

F = 4π²rm/t²............. Equation 3

From the question,

Given: m = 0.8 kg, r = 0.7 m, t = 0.5 s

Constant: π = 3.14

Substitute these values into equation 3

F = 4(3.14²)(0.7)(0.8)/0.5²

F = 88.34 N directed towards the center of the circle

What type of boundary is shown in the diagram?
Sveta_85 [38]

Answer:Divergent boundaries -- where new crust is generated as the plates pull away from each other.

Convergent boundaries -- where crust is destroyed as one plate dives under another.

Transform boundaries -- where crust is neither produced nor destroyed as the plates slide horizontally past each other.

Magnetic field lines curve out from one pole and return to the same pole. Please select the best answer from the choices provide
Crank

Magnetic field lines always forms closed loop in such a way that it originates from North pole and then terminates back into the South pole

Inside the magnet we will draw the field lines from south pole to north pole

So it is not possible that magnetic field lines originates from north pole and again terminates at the same pole

So this is

FALSE

A 2000 kg test car travels around a circular track with a radius of 100 m. If the
Anarel [89]

Answer:

V=0.38 m/s

Explanation:

ac=3 m/s^2

m=2000kg

r=100m

ac=mv^2/r

Solve for v^2

3=2000(v^2)/100

3=20v^2

3/20=.15

sqrt of .15= 0.38 m/s

V=0.38 m/s
