Answer:

The correct option is;

D. Folding of Rock

Explanation:

A fold in structural geology, is wave like form of stratified rock arrangement due to the bending of rocks which where originally deposited as flat rocks but became warped in the course of deformation of the rock layers.

The degree of bending can be very gentle such that the zig zag orientation of the rock is hardly noticeable. The bending can also very evident and in some cases the two layers may be bent up to 180, making the individually different strata once again parallel to each other.

Answer:

Explanation:

F = mω²R

F = 15(2π/8.5)²(7.8)

F = 63.93044788...

F = 63.9 N

answer a) is the closest. No idea how they got a value that low unless they used a poor approximation for π.

A student thinks that any real vibration must be damped. Is the student correct? If so, give convincing reasoning. If not, give
Stels [109]

Answer:

Yes the student is correct

Explanation:

The first law of thermodynamics states that energy can neither be created nor destroyed

The second law of thermodynamics states that the entropy (disorderliness) of an isolated system always increases

Therefore, whereby energy is not supplied to maintain the orderly oscillatory motion with constant amplitude, the amplitude of the system is bound to reduce with time that is the vibration of the system must be damped

PLEASE HELP
kykrilka [37]

Answer:

Both physical and chemical changes

Explanation:

From the definition of the law of conservation of mass, total mass of all the substances taking part in a chemical reaction is conserved and the number of atoms of each element in the reaction does not change when a new product is formed. Both physical and chemical changes follow the law since when the system is closed to all transfers of matter and energy, the mass of the system must remain constant over time, irrespective of the state.
