If the squares of the shorter sides added together are:

Equal to the square of the longest side - the triangle is right angled
Less than the square of the longest side - the triangle is obtuse angled
More than the square of the longest side - the triangle is acute angled

This example would be right, which comes from the Pythagoras theorem

I think that it's an obtuse triangle.

109.5 + 18.25 = 127,75

14) The perimeter of this isosceles triangle is represented by the
Galina-37 [17]

The isosceles triangle is missing so i have attached it.

Answer:

Length of unknown side = 5p + 6

Step-by-step explanation:

In isosceles triangle, two of the sides are equal. In the attached triangle, we see that one of the equal sides is given as 5p + 3.

Thus,the second equal side is also 5p + 3.

Now, perimeter of a triangle is the sum of the three sides.

We have two sides and let the third side be denoted as x.

Thus;

Perimeter = (5p + 3) + (5p + 3) + x

We are given perimeter = 15p + 12

Thus;

(5p + 3) + (5p + 3) + x = 15p + 12

10p + 6 + x = 15p + 12

Rearranging, we have;

x = 15p - 10p + 12 - 6

x = 5p + 6

An analyst in Bank of America, Santa Clara University Branch, believes that on Mondays customers arrive at the bank with rate 50
Aleksandr-060686 [28]

Answer:

0.0821

Step-by-step explanation:

If the arrival rate is 50 customers per hour (60 minutes), then the expected number of customers in 3 minutes is:

\lambda=\frac{50}{60}*3\\ \lambda=2.5\ customers/3\ minutes

Assuming a Poisson distribution with 2.5 customers per 3 minutes, the probability that zero customers arrive for 3 minutes is:

P(x=k)=\frac{\lambda^k*e^{-\lambda}}{k!}\\P(x=0)=\frac{2.5^0*e^{-2.5}}{0!}\\ P(x=0)=0.0821

The probability that the bank stays empty for three minutes is 0.0821.

Help me complete this
frutty [35]

Answer:

x = 9.9 in.

Step-by-step explanation:

area of triangle = base * height /2

49 = x*x /2

49*2 = x^2

98 = x^2

\sqrt{98} = x

7\sqrt{2} = x

9.9 = x

Jules kicks a soccer ball off the ground and into the air with an initial velocity of 25 feet
hichkok12 [17]

Answer:

Set up your height equation, then factor or use quadratic formula to find when h(t)=0

Step-by-step explanation:

Your equation will be -16t^2+vt +h where v is the initial velocity and h is the starting height. Now either factor or quadratic equation, whichever is easier for you.

Remember that the ball is on the ground when h(t)=0 since that is the height. There will be two zeros,  one is a negative number so would be before you kicked the ball, the other one will be when the ball comes back down.
