The ration of boy campers to total campers is 8:15, and the ratio of girl campers to total campers is 7:15.  Using this information, we can answer this question by setting up proportions.

<u>For boys:</u>

\frac{8}{15} =\frac{x}{195}

<em>*Cross multiply*</em>

15x=1560

<em>*Divide both sides by 15*</em>

x=104

There are 169 boy campers.

<u>For girls:</u>

\frac{7}{15} =\frac{x}{195}

<em>*Cross multiply*</em>

15x=1365

91=x

There are 91 girl campers.

Hope this helps!!

Answer:

104 boys and 91 girls

Step-by-step explanation:

We need to determine fractions (fraction of campers who were boys, fraction of campers who were girls).  To do this, add 8 and 7, obtaining 15.  Then 8/15 of the campuers were boys and 7/15 were girls.

Thus, there were (8/15)(195 boy campers) and (7/15)(195 girl campers), or 104 boys and 91 girls.

What are the leading coefficient, constant term and degree, if any, of the algebraic expression 1+x^3
MA_775_DIABLO [31]
The degree refers to the x to some exponent where the highest exponent is the degree.
Degree: 3
The leading coefficient is the coefficient of the term we just found(of the highest exponent)
Leading Coefficient: 1
The constant term is the term without an x in it.
Constant Term: 1

if a man travels at an average speed of 122km per hour how far will he travel in 3 hours and 45 minutes
Mekhanik [1.2K]
Convert 3h and 45 min to hours so it will be 3.9 hours

Then say:
Distance = speed ✖️time
= 122 km/h ✖️3.9h
=475.80 km
He will travel 475.80 km

Hope this helps ;)

A study of a company's practice regarding the payment of invoices revealed that an invoice was paid an average of 20 days after
morpeh [17]

Answer:

=0.1587 or 15.87%

So option A is correct answer so 15.87% of the invoices were paid within 15 days of receipt.

Step-by-step explanation:

In order to find the percent of the invoices paid within 5 days of receipt we have to find the value of Z first.

Z=\frac{X-u}{S}

where:

X is the random varable which in our case is 15 days

u is the mean or average value which is 20 days

S is the standard deviation which is 5 days

Z=\frac{15-20}{5}

Z=-1.0

We have to find Probability at Z less than -1

P(Z<-1.0) which can be written as:

=1-P(Z>1.0)

From Cumulative distribution table:

=1-(0.3413+0.5)

=0.1587 or 15.87%

So option A is correct answer so 15.87% of the invoices were paid within 15 days of receipt.

A city hosted a music festival that included three concerts. According to the sales database, 28% of the audience attended the f
Vitek1552 [10]

Answer:

P(X\cap Y\cap Z)=0.05

Step-by-step explanation:

From the question we are told that:

Percentage of audience in first concert P(X)=0.28

Percentage of audience in second concert P(Y)=0.42

Percentage of audience in third concert P(Z)=0.30

Audience Percentage at at-least one concert P(X \cup Y \cup Z)=0.80

Percentage of audience at first & second concert P(X \cap Y)=0.10

Percentage of audience in first & third concert P(X \cap Z)=0.08

Percentage of audience in second & third concert P(Y\cap Z)=0.07

Generally the equation for probability of attending all concerts P(X\cap Y\cap Z)is mathematically given by

P(X \cup Y \cup Z)=P(X)+P(Y)+P(Z)-P(X \cap Y)-P(X \cap Z)-P(Y\cap Z)+P(X\cap Y\cap Z)

P(X\cap Y\cap Z)=P(X \cup Y \cup Z)-P(X)-P(Y)-P(Z)+P(X \cap Y)+P(X \cap Z)+P(Y\cap Z)

P(X\cap Y\cap Z)=0.80-0.28-0.42-0.30+0.10+0.80+0.70

P(X\cap Y\cap Z)=0.05

Therefore the probability that a randomly selected audient attended all the concerts

P(X\cap Y\cap Z)=0.05
