A 5.5kg mass is pushed with a force of 31N across a table having μk of 0.350. Find how fast it will accelerate, taking friction
Ipatiy [6.2K]

Answer:

3.66m/s^2

Explanation:

First, we need to find the friction which is F=u*N.

After that, find the resultant force by substarcting the friction from the forward force.

Lastly, using the formula F=ma, substitute in the known values of F and m to find a

Do you think it is possible to control the magnetic properties of a magnet? Can a magnet be turned on and off?
Sunny_sXe [5.5K]

Answer:

Yes it is possible to control to some extent.

Explanation:

In general there are two types of magnets : permanent and temporary (electromagnets).

Electromagnets can be controlled since it basically depends on electricity. By switching on and off the electric supply the magnets also can be switched on and off respectively. We can also control the intensity of magnetic power.

On the other hand permanent magnet cannot be switched on and off but the magnetic properties can be altered event to an extent when it loses all its magnetic properties. It can be caused by high temperature, physical impact and also exposure to other magnetic fields. For every element there is a point of temperature called curie temperature above which the permanent magnet loses its magnetic properties. This can be brought back again by induced magnetism. The only issue is that induced magnetism work in most cases but not in all.

a red ball moves horizontally in a 30 m long tube what is the displacement of the red ball between 0s and 24s?
gayaneshka [121]

Answer:

30 metres.

Explanation:

Given that a red ball moves horizontally in a 30 m long tube.

Displacement is the distance travelled in a specific direction. It has both magnitude and direction.

Since the motion is horizontal, it moves is a certain direction.

Within the stipulation of time, the displacement will be the distance covered in the horizontal direction which is 30 metres.

Therefore, the displacement of the motion of the red ball is 30 metres.
