No The Thermal energy of the hot water will be higher compared to that of the cold water because Thermal energy is a function of temperature so the higher the temperature the more the energy. That is why during the operation of thermal power plants the water is heated up to super heated state so that the net work out put is higher.

________ is characterized by the separation of light- and dark-colored minerals into thin layers or bands.
erastova [34]

Answer:

Granitic gneiss is characterized by the separation of light- and dark-colored minerals into thin layers or bands.

Explanation:

Intense heat and pressure can also metamorphose granite into a banded rock known as "granite gneiss." This transformation is usually more of a structural change than a mineralogical transformation. Granite gneiss can also form through the metamorphism of sedimentary rocks.

miss Akunina [59]

Write each force in component form:

<em>v </em>₁ : 50 N due east   →   (50 N) <em>i</em>

<em>v</em> ₂ : 80 N at N 45° E   →   (80 N) (cos(45°) <em>i</em> + sin(45°) <em>j</em> ) ≈ (56.5 N) (<em>i</em> + <em>j</em> )

The resultant force is the sum of these two vectors:

<em>r</em> = <em>v </em>₁ + <em>v</em> ₂ ≈ (106.5 N) <em>i</em> + (56.5 N) <em>j</em>

Its magnitude is

|| <em>r</em> || = √[(106.5 N)² + (56.5 N)²] ≈ 121 N

and has direction <em>θ</em> such that

tan(<em>θ</em>) = (56.5 N) / (106.5 N)   →   <em>θ</em> ≈ 28.0°

i.e. a direction of about E 28.0° N. (Just to clear up any confusion, I mean 28.0° north of east, or 28.0° relative to the positive <em>x</em>-axis.)

A platinum ball weighing 100 g is removed from a furnace and dropped into 400 g of water at 0 degree C. If the equilibrium tempe
kakasveta [241]

Answer:

T = 1010 degree Celsius

Explanation:

mass of ball (Mb) = 100 g

mass of water (Mw) = 400 g

temp of water = 0 degree

specific heat of platinum (C) = 0.04 cal/g degree celsius

we can calculate the temperature of the furnace from the equation before

Mb x C x (temp of furnace (T) - equilibrium temp) = Mw x (equilibrium temp - temp of furnace)

100 x 0.04 x ( T - 10) = 400 x (10 - 0)

4 (T - 10) = 4000

T - 10 = 1000

T = 1010 degree Celsius

On a trolley ride around an amusement park, a child travelled from one signpost to a second signpost at a constant speed of 125
Tomtit [17]

Answer:

Explanation:

Speed given = 125 m /min

125 /60 m /s

In 450 second it will travel

= 450 x 125 / 60

=937.5 m.

As the distance  is covered in less than 450 seconds , The distance must be less than 937.5 m

In 400 seconds , it will travel

= 400 x 125 / 60

833.33 m

Since the distance is covered in more than 400 seconds , the distance must be more than ie 833.33 .

Hence the distance covered is more than .833 m but less than 937.5

In either case these distance are more than .8 km .
