Calculate the magnitude of the angular momentum of the Mars in a circular orbit around the sun. The Mars has mass 6.42×1023 kg ,

radius 3.40×106 m , and orbit radius 2.28×1011 m . The planet completes one rotation on its axis in 24.5 hours and one orbit in 687 days.

Answer:

The magnitude of the angular momentum of the Mars in a circular orbit around the sun is 3.53\times10^{39}\ kg-m^2/s

Explanation:

Given that,

Mass of mars M=6.42\times10^{23}\ kg

Radius r'= 3.40\times10^{6}

Orbit radius r=2.28\times10^{11}\ m

Time period = 687 days

We need to calculate the magnitude of the angular momentum of the mars

Using formula of angular momentum

L = I\omega

Here, I = mr^2

L=mr^2\omega

L=mr^2\times\dfrac{2\pi}{T}

Where,

L = angular momentum

I = moment of inertia

r = radius

\omega=angular speed

Put the value into the formula

L=6.42\times10^{23}\times(2.28\times10^{11})^2\times\dfrac{2\pi}{687\times24\times3600}

L=3.53\times10^{39}\ kg-m^2/s

Hence, The magnitude of the angular momentum of the Mars in a circular orbit around the sun is 3.53\times10^{39}\ kg-m^2/s

FrozenT [24]

Answer:

No, you can't keep on dividing the charge forever.

Explanation:

No, you can't keep on dividing the charge in that manner forever because the total charge of the stick is an integer multiples of individual units known as an elementary charge, <em>which is the electron (e) charge (e = 1.602x10⁻¹⁹C)</em>.

Therefore the limit of the division of the original charge will be the electron charge since it is the smallest charge that can exist freely.

Which is evidence that a convergent boundary once existed
Vladimir79 [104]

Volcanic islands, Mountain ranges

Explanation:

A convergent margin is plate boundary in which plates comes together. There are different types of interactions that occurs around a place where plate converges.

  • An ocean-continent convergence creates a subduction zone in which the denser oceanic plate sinks beneath the less dense continental crust.
  • As the oceanic plate begins to subside, it can melt and form chains of volcanic island within the riding continents.
  • Also, where two plates of equal densities converge, none of them subsides and this leads to upbuilding.
  • The product can be seen as extensive mountain ranges on earth like the Andes and Himalayas.

To lift a load of 100 kg a distance of 1 m an effort of 25 kg must be applied over an inclined plane of length 4 m. What must be
andreyandreev [35.5K]
Work = force * distance.
We must produce twice as much energy as we are lifting the weight twice as high.
But we are not increasing the force so we must increase the length of the ramp ( distance ) instead.
The new length will be twice as great as the previous length.
So 8 metres is required.

25 kg * 8 m = work = 100 kg * 2 m
