Answer: x = -24

Step-by-step explanation:

X/12 + 1/3 = -5/3

Find the LCM of the left hand side of the equation:

x + 4/12 = -5/3

Then cross multiply

3(x + 4) = -5/3

Open the bracket

3x + 12 = - 60

Subtract 12 from both sides of the equation

3x + 12 - 12 = -60 - 12

3x = -72

Divide both sides by 3

x = -72/3

x = -24

Check:

-24/12 + 1/3 = -5/3

Find the LCM of the left hand side of the equation

-24 + 4/12 = -20/12

Divide by a common factor of 4

-20/12 = -5/3

Can someone please help meeeee :((<br>what's the rule?
Elena L [17]
I think the rule has something to do with adding. I noticed that when the input was at 0 the output was 20, When the input was 15 the output was 5, when the input was 8 the output was 12, and so on. I think the rule is, no matter what number is in the input or the output, it must equal 20.

zhenek [66]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Similar figures have the same shape but the same size.

Moving from left to right:

The first figure is similar because the ratio is 6:14 which is the same as the figure 3:7.

The second figure is not similar because of shape

The third figure is is not similar because the ratio is 6:12 which is not the same as the figure 3:7

The fourth figure is similar because it is rotated

The fifth figure is not similar because of shape

The sixth figure is not similar because of the ratio of 2:3.5 which is not the same as the figure's ratio of 3:7
