It should be b because physical laws of conservation of energy and matter dictate that the energy is still emitted in some form, so a and d are incorrect. Energy does not convert into matter when it comes light bulbs, therefore b is also incorrect. That leaves only b which is the correct answer.

Why the core is metallic and the lower mantle is not.
Ugo [173]

Answer:

due to the overlaying layers of strata (layers of earth) an high pressure is created at the core. due to this it behaves like an solid rether than being a liquid... the lower mantle is not solid because in this case the overlaying strata doesn't produce that much pressure on it..

What are the ions in these compounds?<br> a. NH4BY b. K2HPO4 c. CUNO3
Ann [662]

Explanation:

If the compounds are dissociated, the ions are:

         NH₄BY             NH₄⁺   BY⁻

        K₂HPO₄             K⁺      HPO₄²⁻

        CuNO₃              Cu⁺     NO₃⁻

The given compounds assuming that they dissociate in solutions  will produce the ions listed above.

The cations which are the positively charged ions in the above compounds are made up of metals and radicals.

The anions which are negatively charged ions are purely chemical radicals.
