8_murik_8 [283]

Tortoise shell cats can be explained as the offspring from a incomplete dominance cross. Incomplete dominance gives rise to an intermediate phenotype.

The scientific phenomenon that explains the color pattern is X-linked incomplete dominance.

  • As stated earlier, the tortoise shell colour is as a result of incomplete dominance but as it exists only in females, the inheritance is X linked.
  • This means the tortoise shell colour is inherited in the heterozygous condition as females have two X (XX) and males (XY) can only be either of the parent's true breeding genotype.

Living fossils are creatures that are alive today and that bear a striking resemblance to extinct creatures found in the fossil
tia_tia [17]
I am not thinking of a creature but of a tree which is the gingko tree which was in existence back 200 million years ago and there is one on a street where we lived   in Vancouver BC and they grow in various parts of the world still. The coelocanth is a prehistoric fish which still lives in the sea also. I think that evolutionists would view such living 'fossils' as proof that these organisms were so well adapted to a wide range of environments or were able to find environments that they originally thrived in that they could survive so long. Also, probably the longer they survived changed conditions the tougher they would get. A creationist would say aha that shows that species don't change and evolve which of course would deny the overwhelming evidence of the change in species through time such as amongst man's ancestors.

Interpreting the results of an experiment requires critical thinking skills and the ability to make connections across data. Whi
tresset_1 [31]

The correct answer is option Memorization.

The memorization of the data help the scientist to recall all the facts and the theories, which are related to the experiments. In case, a scientist remembers all the things, the analyzing the data would be easier, as he can relate the data without referring to many sources. Hence, memorization would be very helpful in making connections across the data.
