Use the identity x3+y3+z3−3xyz=(x+y+z)(x2+y2+z2−xy−yz−zx) to determine the value of the sum of three integers given: the sum of

their squares is 110, the sum of their cubes is 684, the product of the three integers is 210, and the sum of any two products (xy+yz+zx) is 107. Enter your answer as an integer, like this: 42

x^3+y^3+z^3-3xyz=(x+y+z)(x^2+y^2+z^2-xy-yz-zx)

x^3+y^3+z^3-3xyz=(x+y+z)(x^2+y^2+z^2-(xy+yz+zx))

the sum of their squares is 110, So x^2+y^2 + z^2= 110

the sum of their cubes is 684, so x^3+y^3 + z^3= 684

the product of the three integers is 210, so xyz= 210

the sum of any two products (xy+yz+zx) is 107

Now we plug in all the values in the identity

x^3+y^3+z^3-3xyz=(x+y+z)(x^2+y^2+z^2-(xy+yz+zx))

684 - 3(210) = (x+y+z)(110-107)

684 - 630 = (x+y+z)(3)

54 = 3(x+y+z)

Divide by 3 on both sides

18 = x+y+z

the value of the sum of three integers is 18

Find the VOLUME of this composite solid.
Black_prince [1.1K]

Answer:

 (294π +448) cm³ ≈ 1371.6 cm³

Step-by-step explanation:

The half-cylinder at the right end has a radius of 7 cm, as does the one on top. Together, the total length of these half-cylinders is 8 cm + 4cm = 12 cm. That is equivalent in volume to a whole cylinder of radius 7 cm that is 6 cm long.

The cylinder volume is ...

 V = πr²h = π(7 cm)²(6 cm) = 294π cm³

__

The cuboid underlying the top half-cylinder has dimensions 4 cm by 8 cm by 14 cm (twice the radius). So, its volume is ...

 V = LWH = (4 cm)(8 cm)(14 cm) = 448 cm³

Then the total volume of the composite figure is ...

 (294π +448) cm³ ≈ 1371.6 cm³

LUCKY_DIMON [66]

Answer:

 • D. (-5/13, -12/13)

Explanation:

It is indicated to find the coordinates of the point T (5/13, 12/13) at a distance π + x.

 • π is an arc of half a circle, i.e. 180º.

Then, the distance π+ x means that the point T is rotated 180º.

The rule for the rotation of a point 180º around the origin is:

 • (x, y) → (-x, - y)

Applying that rule to the point T:

 • (5/13, 12/13) → (-5/13, - 12/13) ← answer
